Great 1st Gackt cd
This has a lot of the singles that Gackt has released so is a great introduction to him and shows all the styles of music he is capable of (i.e everything, there is nothing this man can't do!) Great fun and will have you trying to sing along (obv difficult if you don't speak Japanese, I don't and I still love it!)

Exceptional unique talent
I adore Gackt....I own everything he has ever recorded as a solo artist and the reasons for this are simple: his voice is utterly beautiful, powerful, rich and smooth all at once and the songs he writes are exceptional. There is no body quite like Gackt in pop/rock music today. He is a super-star in his native Japan and although he sings almost exclusively in Japanese, that doesnt matter to an exclusive english-speaker like myself. The Japanese language is beautiful and he wraps his dulcit tones around each word in the most gorgeous way. The British public seem to love Il Divo who sing many tunes in a foreign language so why more people dont give Jpop/rock a chance is beyond me! Anyway, this is a singles compilation and is great value....recommended to those who dont mind listening to foreign language vocals and who are open-minded about their love for music.

a great introduction to gackt
Its good to see that english websites are beggining to sell the greatness that is j-rock! If you've never heard of gackt before this is a great introduction to him as it is a single collection, from mizerable through to last day. My favourite song on this compilation has to be mizerable, but all of the songs are of a very high calibre. The songs range from the lively, almost poppy sounds of vanilla to the melancholy ballads of last song and tsuki no uta. If this album is to your liking gackt has 4 studio albums and a mini album for you to get your teeth into, as well as the many other bands that play j-rock such as malice mizer and dir en grey.
