The Belkin Pro Series High Integrity Monitor Extension Cable will make the flow of data faster and the resolution of your images crystal clear. This product provides as a replacement video and high-resolution multimedia monitor cable with a HDDB15 connector to your PC.
Following advice direct from Belkin AND playing it safe, I bought this and it's stablemate, the "Gold-Series" thinking that at least one of them had to be good. Wrong! Ghosting was pretty bad for both and despite other reviews, no amount of mucking about with settings was going to help. Even Belkin stated I must have been unlucky to get two duff ones. Yeah, right! At least Amazon's return and refund process proved the best part of the deal.
This cable does not support 1440 x 900 resolutions for use with a Fujitsu 19" flat panel monitor I had the same problems as the previous reviewer, when plugged in certain widescreen resolution are not available, changed the cable back to the old shorter cable i had and it works again.
I bought this to go with the excellent Acer AL1916WS 19" widescreen LCD monitor. It connects up OK (note: - the product picture is incorrect, it's a male-male cable, as correctly described in the technical details, not the female-male cable shown in the picture) and allows the monitor to display the standard resolutions. However, the Acer monitor really snaps into focus when you use its native resolution of 1440 x 900. I had this custom resolution running without any problem under XP using a Matrox G450 video card and a small Matrox utility that allows you to select almost any resolution with the G-series cards. Connect the Acer monitor up with this Belkin cable though, and the custom resolution is no longer available in Windows. Switch back to the Acer-supplied cable, and it is available again. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that there are only 14 pins out of 15 at either end on this cable (and other Belkin cables), but I had to return it for a refund.
