This is the best CD that I have bought for a long time. A must for people who like Al Martino and relaxing with easy listening music. Like the best wines Al Martino has matured with age with his rendition of some old favourtites and some new heartwarming and emotional songs.
My mother drew may attention to this new album from the 77-year-old Al Martino, having heard the title track on what my son calls "wrinklies' radio" (Saga FM), so I got it for her Christmas stocking and had a sly listen to it myself first.pConsidering his age Martino is still in remarkably fine voice, and if you like Engelbert Humperdinck, or Daniel O'Donnell, say, you'll love this collection of gentle singalong songs and crooner's ballads. Apart from the catchy title track, "You're The Love Of My Life" is memorable because it borrows the tune of Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana", and "I Have A Dream" is the Abba song. The finale is a short medley of his hits, but not "Here In My Heart" for which he was famous, as the first UK chart Number 1. The rest of the album is easy-going and just right up everyone's street (if you're his age, that is).
