Only partially successful design
On the face of it a very good looking leather case that attempts to mimic the leather case that Palm used to sell for the Vx.

The design is however flawed in two crucial ways. Firstly, the aluminium covers all but the uppermost 1 cm of the TE unit, which given that it covers to the foot of the device seems somewhat odd. Secondly, the plastic 'spine' which runs into the TE attaches by means of a 1 cm leather mount attached to the rear cover, which allows the TE to flop around - making it necessary to hold the TE AND the leather cover when in handheld use. Had the plastic 'spine' been attached directly to the spine of the leather case then this wouldn't have been a problem. As it is, the TE hangs loosely from the wallet rather than being firmly held in place.

There is now a silver decoration on the front of the wallet, which has obviously been updated since the stock photo was taken. The decoration is a matter of taste (and it's not to mine) but I have to say that overall this is a well constructed product even if it is somewhat over priced.

Palm E2 Alu-Leather Case
This case has nice leather and the stitching looks classic. There are two little pockets in the back cover for extra sd memory cards and a side on pocket inside the front cover, perhaps for cards etc. Aluminium is firm and does it's job of protecting the screen. I find the PDA tends to slide out on the right hand side a little, because the connection slide is attached to the back cover rather than the spine, meaning the cover lies flat when open. I wonder whether a re-designed version might come onto the market? Still great value for £22(ish)

Great cover
Very functional protective case for your Palm Tungsten E. I carry my Palm in a coat/jacket pocket during the day and this case fits my needs. I was however very disappointed that the manufacturer's description as quoted appears to be misleading. I quote: "Advanced aluminium "Screen Saver" system;Vehicle mountable - perfect for GPS;Internal MMC/SD card storage;REMOVABLE CREDIT CARD MODULE;Secure magnetic clasp closure;Elegant contrast overstitching;In-case access to PDA functions including synchronisation port, infrared port, stylus, and stereo output." YES there is internal storage for your memory card. NO there is not a removable credit card module. Amazon did try replacing a case for me but that one was exactly like the first. I REALLY miss the facility to carry my business cards in the Palm case (as I did with my Palm m100 and its Palm leather case). I will have to live with this one but beware this poor description. Otherwise the case is great. The aluminium built into the cover offers valuable protection for the Palm screen which makes this case a winner in itself.

Does what it says
This case is simple but effective. It's a Filofax look case made of soft leather, with a square piece of fairly thick aluminium in the front cover to protect the PDA screen. The back cover doesn't feel as if it's been reinforced though, so I don't think it will protect too well from dropping the PDA. The PDA secures in the same way as with the free crappy plastic cover - the spine of the case has a piece of plastic sticking up which you slide into a matching gap in the side of the pda. It's got a nice cushion feel to it and in general looks business like.
