Creed who? There's 2 problems with this album...
(1) The songs are so damn good you find yourself singing a chorus outloud in the middle of the supermarket, and you don't care if people stare cos before long they are gonna want to join in!!
(2)No matter how hard I've tried I can't stop playing the CD, it won't come out of the CD player. I rush home from work and press play and all is well in the world again!
I hoped this would be a good album. We all know Mark Tremonti can write a decent tune and shred with the best of them. I also hoped that he would try a slightly different approach and not be Creed with a different singer.
This is a great album, with heavy riffs, touch of blues and catchy anthems. The opener 'Find The Real' stomps the album to life, 'One Day Remains' brings out the air guitar, 'Open Your Eyes' is a fist punching anthem. 3 songs in and you want to press stop and replay them over again!
'Broken Wings' is the high point of this album; a brooding beggining with a soaring chorus that has limpit like qualities of sticking in your head.
If your thing is quality heavy rock then this album is for you. And if your thing aint quality heavy rock then this album is for you!! Why?
Did I mention how amazing Myles Kennedy is? This guy can sing AND I DON'T MEAN 'X-FACTOR' SING!! He is in a league of his own. There are certain things that grab your attention and make you listen and great vocalists do just that. Myles Kennedy has an amazing range, a rich, soulful voice that captivates and delivers.
I know that Alter Bridge will always be compared to Creed due to the obvious but for me the future's bright, the future is Alter Bridge!!

Hard & Melodic, Alter Bridge Deliver...It would be fair to say since the breakup of Creed, Mark Tremonti and co weren't quite sure exactly where to go. I mean, Creed had 3 multi platinum albums to their name, a huge fan base which to be honest, had been waiting for a Creed reunion since the day they split.
The end result of all this - recruit Myles Kennedy and form Alter Bridge.
Genius.
This album is quite superb, from the opening two stadium rockers to probably one of the sadest song's ever recorded - "In Loving Memory," Alter Bridge deliver an album that's probably one of the best in 2004.
Fan favourite "Down To My Last" is another album highlight, you get the impression listening that Mark Tremonti never really got the chance to explode the guitar with Creed, well with Alter Bridge it's a completly different story.
If you like your rock hard and medolic with guitar solo's a plenty, this album is a must.
Best Track: Down To My Last

Simply AmazingThis Album is an absolute must. One of the best albums i own.. and i have to admit i own a lot of albums!
On some albums you find the odd few songs you like, the others you dont and because of that you never listen to .. Thats quite annoying because you know the artist can create such great songs so why is only half the album good !?
But this is different, every song it sheer brilliance, something else, and simply amazing. A truely great band, and a truely great album.
A Must Have For Everyone.

MEMORIES OF ROCKMemories of Rock are some of the strongest ones , allegiances are forged at an early age .
The first time you heard AC/DC's 'Let there be Rock'in your mates car years ago (like a Biblical Mantra) , sitting in a darkened room listening to 'Gates of Babylon' at full volume on your Dad's new stereo , crouched round your mates tiny battered record player endlessly repeating the 'Whole Lotta Of Love' solo ......Ah Bliss !
Time marches on , and the defining moments can seem to get further and further apart.
And then.....you hear Alter Bridge.........and it all comes back again.
Songs that sound like they were waiting to be written , stunning vocals from Myles and guitar solos that sail up and down your spine from Tremonti.
Classic Rock from a great band , and an attitude to Rock that melds the very best of the past with the very best of the present.
Pure genius....buy it , you won't regret it......

More Tremonti MagicDiscovered Creed long after they'd split, thanx to years in the wooly cotton abyss. Human Clay means the world to me and was the first Creed album I ever heard, I went on to discover Weathered and My Own Prison all of which carry the same message but have a totally different feel. Alter Bridge are much the same, brilliant music with a core objective; to inspire the good in every aspect of humanity and they achieve this with stunning lyrics and music.
