awesomeGreat film - all the characters were believable and realistic. It conveyed the loyalty and brotherhood of these "firms" brilliantly and managed many comic moments.
All in all, very true to life - no characters were unbeleivable.
Tip for Ms McDonald - don't buy a film about football hooligans and complain when its violent. I don't like what they do, nobody does, but your apparent dislike of hooliganism is irrelevant when reviewing the quality of the film. It matters not whether you liked it or not - its was the film that you were supposed to be reviewing.

good jobDrawing together all the stereotypes and percieved ideads of being a football hooligan was probably the easy part, keeping it interesting and humane was the hard part and i think this film does it very well.
The film follows a bunch of chelsea fans who are more interested in knocking the teeth out of rival fans than they are in how their team does, well thats how it looks anyway, amid all that are some personal touches and a subplot involving two old geezers who live together that bring the film a bit of a heart.
The film is violent and packed with language that is rough and ready but thats how i suspect it would,i wouldnt say its as funny as some say but there are some laugh out loud moments, the taxi driver is funny even if he as politically correct as bernard manning was,all in all i was very entertained and thats all i can ask for.

Normal Dyer Effort....3 stars, lifted only because of the book and not because of this plywood acting efort....
Absolutely resounding good book, runied with the usual complete mahogany cameo from dyer, who is supposed to be the main lead role.
He does his best to deliver his nearly below average standard, which, on this occassion, suits the role rather than make it embarrasing, still though, It's embarrasing for Dyer who once more falls far short of being convincing, and also falls shorts of delivering what he is capable off.
This last comment is only because I have friends who believe he can do better and not because I have seen any evidence off it.......
Could have been so much better....

Good film for wannabes who've never thrown a punch in their lifeI know many people love this film and I won't knock this film on the
grounds that it's moronic because that's been done to tears and besides,
it's not the moronic, tedious characters that are the biggest flaw of this awful film. The worst thing about this film is that it has pretensions of being cutting, in yer face social commentary. What it is though, simply is Chelsea Headhunter propaganda with a plot about two ex-servicemen as a meaningless sideshow meant to give a load of Chelsea thug wet dreamery a chin stroking air of authenticity. Just look at the opening scene, a load of Chelsea bowling out of Seven Sisters for a row
in Tottenham like they're out for a Sunday stroll with not a care in the world. Compare this to McIntyre Undercover's description of Chelsea travelling to the same fixture, 'Everyone was uptight, nervous, alot of
tension in the air, no-one saying a word'. And that was before they left
Highbury & Islington station and made it anywhere near Seven Sisters. The
film also claims 'There's only 3 firms worth talking bout, 'Chelsea, West
Ham and Millwall.' No Cardiff, no Birmingham, Everton, Aberdeen, Boro or
Man Utd then. Just a shame that view isn't shared by the other two mobs
worth talking about. But worser still than the lack of authenticity is the hilariously awful scene where the two west London wide boys fall
foul of a beefy Millwall thug who declares 'You're in bandit country naaaaaaah'. This is what people who've never seen or been to South London
think people in South London talk like. But I have to say, this film's delusions of grandeur do at least make it funny, and that's why I'm going to be generous and give this banile advertisement in tediousness 1 star. At least it had the decency to be so bad it was hilarious.

The way british films should be!A great british film. A look into the gritty reality of the wrking class football follower! Danny dyer plays a qulity role as do the supporting cast! For years we have been embarassed for our lack of decent films but this is a breath of fresh air! Awesome!!
