Fantastic navigation softwareThis is not the most user friendly software ever produced but its well worth the effort getting to grips with it. The amount of digital OS map you get for your money with this product is unrivalled as far as I can tell and remember that while you only get OS 1:50000 mapping for your chosen region, you do get 1:250,000 road mapping for the whole country. I've just returned from a week walking in North Devon, having used the software to plan routes each evening and upload to my Garmin Etrex (basic model) for the next day's walk. This worked brilliantly and we never got more than 20 Metres off course all week. I recommend drawing a track over your planned route and then uploading this tracklog (rather than a route or waypoints) to the GPS as you can get far more detail using tracks than using waypoints/routes. I also uploaded the bundled Palm software to my Tungsten C and found this to be really useful for navigation by road having uploaded maps from Fugawi and connected the PDA to the Etrex. In summary you get powerful software for the PC and Palm plus a huge amount of OS mapping for a very good price.

Great for those interested in Ley LinesThis is a great tool for people interested in Ley lines. Assessment four out of five stars.
Having noticed a number of ancient sites that seem to be in a straight-line, just double-click on the displayed map to store each co-ordinate, known as a '' WayPoint '', then you are ready to play with them.
Click the '' Way points '' button, followed by the '' Routes '' button and create a directory that gives the ley-line a name. Drag the co-ordinates into the ley-line directory and the programme magically calculates the exact bearings and distances between all the points, allowing you to instantly check for alignment.
Having found historic locations suggesting the intersection of leys, double-click to store more co-ordinates, create a new directory for each Ley and drag the co-ordinates into it. Each co-ordinate can be re-used in many leys or '' Routes '', but even more cleverly, you can edit a point to fractionally adjust its position and all the ley-lines get the point automatically adjusted at same time.
Switch into 3D mode and fly over the landscape of the Ley, altering the vertical exaggeration of contours to capture the vision of the original designers.

Give it a chanceThe software at first glance seems impossible to use, however a brief read through the instructions and you really are away. It's important to realise the difference between a waypoint and a track but once you do this package is fantastic. I have not found it to be inacurate yet, I use it in conjunction with a Garmin map 60 and an Etrex and both have no problem. The 3d flyover is really handy as it give you good perspective of the route for the day enabling a much greater accuracy when it comes to planning legs of journeys. Really good for the money.

Highly recommended for frequent travellersAfter purchasing this software as somewhat of a novelty, it has now become one of the most used programs on my PC. The ability to seamlessly pan around maps of large areas of the country and print out A4 maps of any region at any scale is so useful when travelling. Although the PDA software is fairly basic, I also find it invaluable to be able to carry around OS maps of many chosen areas of the UK on my Palm PDA and these are very quick and easy to access.
My PC is a desktop machine (and hence stationary) and so a live GPS conection, which this software supports, is not useful for me; however the ability to easily load and display waypoints, tracks and routes from/to my Garmin GPS unit is extremely useful. If you leave a portable GPS unit on in the car, it can sometimes be very interesting to view the route you have taken.
The actual OS maps are of the usual high quality and each package is supplied with the popular 1:50000 scale maps of a quarter of the country. However, it also comes with OS maps of the whole of Great Britain at the 1:250000 scale and the 1:1000000 scale. Being able to zoom in and out between these maps is also very helpful.
There are a few minor niggles with this software but overall, the quality and accuracy of the mapping and the convenience it offers far outweighs any such issues.

Very disappointing
The digitised maps are fine but the software is awful! It is very unintuitive to use, idiosyncratic and the online help is ... well, unhelpful to say the least. Also, the features that are available on the Palm software are very limited.
