good variety but mediocre execution
Firstly the music is really irritating - luckily one can switch to the option of only hearing the instructor without the music.

There is a wide variety of exercises however the instructor executes them relatively quickly so that the full pilates effect isn't felt. I get lower back pain every time I do this workout, whereas this is not the case with other pilates DVD's or sessions. I am not sure whether this is because there are too many exercises in this workout that strain the back or whether it is because the repetitions are done so quickly, that it is impossible to do the exercises properly.
The DVD lasts around 45 minutes and is challenging and since there are 4 instructors doing different levels, there are a number of options for each exercise.

Generally it is a good DVD but I still prefer the Ana Caban intermediate DVD.

Incredibly cheap for such a good workout
I bought this DVD a year ago and it has become a part of both of our regular workout routines.

Most Pilates (and Yoga) DVD's are relatively slow and pondorous, this is upbeat and moves you quickly from one move to another. The pace can be a bit fast but only on the first couple of watches, after which you get used to the routine and find it easier to move through the whole workout.

Difficult parts are explained & demonstrated, other alternatives according to your level of fitness are also sometimes proposed.

In short, cannot rate this highly enough. The 'MTV' tag also is misleading as it suggests an MTV youth style but not a bit of it, this is a fully fledged and well thought out/filmed DVD. Recommended.

What I still cannot understand is why it is only £4.99

Excellent workout but some cons
I bought this DVD after reading the reviews and I can say that I'm not disappointed at all. This is challenging enough for me and I have the feeling I have done a total body workout in just 35 minutes. I'm not fed up with it yet as it happens sometimes with other DVDs.

Pros:

- The various angles of filming that really help understanding the movements
- Some of the most difficult movements are explained in detail in the additional features
- 3 levels (beg, med, adv) are shown at the same time, you simply follow the person with the level you need
- Strong on abs. NOTE: Some reviewers complained about the neck strain. This is usually an indication that they are not doing the movement correctly (using their neck instead of their abs to lift their upper body.)
- You can turn off the music, the instructor or both and put subtitles instead
- Some movements are really interesting and challenging

Cons:

- The big no no has to be the warm up and the cool down basically reduced to a couple of movements
- No stretch sequence though this is absolutely necessary ideally before and after
- Pace can sometimes be too fast

I am quite fit so I didn't have really big problem keeping up with the workout but it can be tough. However after a week it's getting much easier. I would not recommend this DVD to ultimate beginners especially the ones who haven't practise any physical activity in a long time.

Hard workout
I have been doing Pilates for a while and was looking for a challenging DVD. This is definitely one, very fast paced and with hard exercises.
It is nothing for beginners, but if you are looking for a hard workout, this is it.
The only problem is, that it is so fast paced, that I have to stop the workout in between, just to relax a little.

MTV-Pilates
I am pretty experienced with pilates, and I did not like this DVD at all. The instructor is incredibly annoying, repeating the instructions unnecessarily (shift, shift, shift, shift...). I felt the positions were not held for long enough, and the movements shifted too rapidly to be able to get the most out of the positions.
