I bought a copy of Works 8 in order that I could use my home PC to read attachments to emails and spell-check the emails that I send.
Having installed Works 8 I have found that although the Works Word Processor has a spellchecker, you can't configure outlook express to use this spell checker. Instead you have to buy a copy of Microsoft Office instead!!
Also, although you can configure Works to display PowerPoint presentations and excel sheets, it won't automatically do this when these documents are received as attachments in outlook express...
So you have to save these attachments before you can open them.
All this is especially annoying as outlook express ships as part of Works 8.
I wouldn't recommend you buy this product. Sadly the only alternative to buy the significantly more expensive Office Suite, but that good old Microsoft for you.

Microsoft Works 8.0
I find this product very good to keep track of your schedule but i do not recommend it for the workplace or for educational projects. It is quite awkward to access and install but overall it is quite good for the home and leisure use.
