How to have a great time.
Everytime I use this I have such a laugh, there are so many different types of songs for all ages. You can play yourself back and listen to all those golden notes, if they weren't so golden you can mess around with pitch and distortion hehe. It's brilliant for a party and it's brilliant with just the family. I've danced whilst I'm singing and if the eye toy os plugged in it's a music video. I love battling against my mates see who got a higher score, I recommend it to anyone who loves having fun :D

Great entertainment
You might have guessed that SingStar is a karaoke game. For this, you need the two exclusive SingStar microphones. If you already have another SingStar game, you should obviously get this on its own, but newcomers should buy the pack that includes this game and the two mics.

Not having played any other Singstar games, I don't know how this compares.

There are some great party tracks including Build Me Up Buttercup and I Should Be So Lucky. There are some modern songs which I don't think suit karaoke, but everyone has their own musical tastes. You can sing by yourself, as a duo or compete in two groups. The not-so-confident singer also has the option of practicing without any pressure!

Each track comes with lyrics plus the original music video. The lyrics are highlighted when they are to be sung and pitch bars show you when you should lower or raise the pitch of your voice. I find this a big help as I would otherwise have been singing as flat as a pancake! Messages such as "cool" and "awful" appear on the screen depending on how well you do on each line. The flaw is that if you don't sing the words correctly, but still get the pitch right, you will get a good score. No one likes a cheater!

When you have finished the song, you can play it back and, if you wish, add a hilarious high or low sound effect to your voice!

If you have an Eyetoy camera, you can use it with this game. You can have yourself on screen instead of the music video and you will sometimes get to take shots of you and your fellow competitors.

My view on karaoke is that it doesn't matter whether you are good are bad at singing, it's all for fun. SingStar is definitely fun!

awesome game
I've never been much of a kareoke singer and so to begin with i was slightly reluctant to try out this game but after my friends forced me to get up and sing i really got into it. Since then i went out to buy the game my self and now own three of the singstar games-party, popworld and 80's. All of which provide hours of fun and entertainment.
I would strongly recommend this game to anyone whether you love or hate kareoke. This brings out the singer in anyone and you'll find that you can't get enough.
So if you like music then definatly buy this game, and the other singstar games.

Totally Singstar!!
I first bought this after a friend recommended it last Christmas and I've not been disappointed!! I've now bought all 4 games and they have provided me and the girls with numerous nights of entertainment - much to the distress of my neighbours!!

I cannot recommend this highly enough for a late night giggle - I've even managed to get the boys up singing on a few occassions!! And even those who've been reluctant at first have been the ones hogging the mic at the end of the night!!

Get the beers and nibbles in and crank it up!!
