Classic Prog Rock
In the court of the crimson king starts with a bang ( 21st century schizoid man ) and finishes with the title track not exactly a whimper but fairly gentle on the ears.In between the fare is gentle prog rock with a fantasy feel. Well worth a listen and a good introduction to the genre.

In the court if the crimson king King Crimson
In the Court of the Crimson King br /1969 is it really that long ago that I listened to this album every night br /we used to play it on a record player in our bedroom leave the turntable arm off when we woke up in the morning it was still playing. this album is truly a masterpiece that has travelled through time still sounds as fresh as the first time I heard it.The CD copy I now have is played at least once a week I can't live without it.Thank you King Crimson for enriching my life with this album...

In The Court of The Crimson King
This has been one of my favourite albums for many years (I bought it on vinyl years ago). Listening to it again on CD I am struck by how far ahead of its time it was. Greg Lake's vocals are perfectly matched to the music and Robert Fripp's musicianship stands out. This would have to go down as one of the all time great albums.

not disappointed
purchased this on a whim having heard a snippet of the title track on a TV drama - had seen the unusual album cover in friends' record collections many years ago but never listened to the album - Since i like the music of that era I thought it worth a punt and I was not disappointed - huanting and melodic

A MUST HAVE.....
This, for me, is one of THE albums of the 60's. Ahead of it's time then, influential and just timeless now. Sure, I was there in Hyde Park when King Crimson unleashed the power and sheer beauty of the Mellotron, Fripp's guitar and such an amazing band, to dropped jaws and a stunned crowd. What a amazing set....and we were all there for The Stones, really! Not everyone's taste but it's an undeniable classic and a must buy for anyone vaguely interested in progressive rock or a time when music was still defining the moment, as a backdrop to our lives.
