It Does Exactly What It Says On The Case (3.5 stars)Chart hits are the order of the day once again as Now reaches no. 59 with a promise of 43 top chart hits, hmm well, Intenso Project is a rather debatable choice but as the single was released after NTWICM 59 (and im in a charitable mood) i shall give it the benefit of the doubt - music can be an acquired taste sometimes.
CD1 brings us no.1 from the likes of Natasha Bedingfield, Eric Prydz with Call On Me (and no, the cd does NOT come included with the music video), Robbie Williams and (shudder) Busted and Mcfly with Thunderbirds Are Go and Obviously respectively. Just leave out the rancid Darius, V, Ronan Keating, Rachel Stevens and the unforgivable album closer from Duncan and Keedie and you're onto a winner, here. Also, extra kudos to Ashley Abram and co. are necessary for the inclusion of The Libertines, Embrace, Hoobastank and underrated pop gem What You're Made Of by Lucie Silvas (well, I seemed to think so, anyway).
The (shockingly by Now standards) rather new-ish Nothing Hurts Like Love by Daniel Bedingfield opens up proceedings on the second disc, with Jamelia's Stop, R. Kelly's Happy People, Nelly's My Place, Black Eyed Peas and Kelis swiftly following as the album moves into slick RnB territory (although, rather predictably, we start moving onto the duds - in this particualar reviewer's opinion, of course). 3 Of A Kind (understandable addition in all honesty), Khia (what, didn't this come out like three years ago??), Joss Stone (Sorry, my fellow stoners -ie fans), Sugababes and The Pirates (no Mario Winans?) may have been huge but, for me, they bring the overall quality of the album down a couple notches but hey I can't be overly critical - theyve been peddling these albums before i was even born so they must be doing something right.
Top marks, though, for Michael Gray's The Weekend, Mousse T's Is It Cos I'm Cool, Houston's I Like That (though being used to promote Mcdonalds? come on now) and Deep Dish's Flashdance which make the album a worthy purchase (after long debating) so in the words of Danzel, (horrible pun coming up here so you've been warned) Pump It Up.

It's good but it's no 5 stars...This compilation is good, but like every other Now... Compilation it's no 5 stars, mostly all the time, because of the more dissapointing songs on the second disc. If one day, they'd release a Now... compilation with all songs on here like disc 1, maybe it would boost it up to 5 stars. However, so far, NONE, i'll repeat NONE of the Now... compilations have EVER been worth 5 stars, most of them deserving 4 because of the great songs on disc 1... And of course, they are a few gems on disc 2 but not many, and if you DON'T LIKE ballad to R'n'B to dance, then all said above about disc 2 goes without saying!...
Aswell, ofcourse, they are songs missing, but I mostly just mark it for what's there. 3 of the best songs missing, round at this time, were Britney's 'My Prerogative,' Kylie's 'I Believe In You,' & most certainly Destiny's Child 'Loose My Breath,'... which should've definately have been included for the success on the charts and celebrating their 'new' get together - maybe Busted might do that someday...
You have to be careful with these compilations - at this rate they would've missed out huge dance hit Eric Prydz's 'Call On Me,' also with a great video! It's actually still on the chart after almost 20 weeks after it's release!... (Also a #1, but you probably knew that already!)
The best songs to look out for on this compilation include the following. Maroon 5 - 'She Will Be Loved,' Natasha Bedingfield -'These Words,' Busted - 'Thunderbirds Are Go,' Eric Prydz - 'Call On Me,' Girls Aloud - 'Love Machine,' McFly - 'Obviously,' Rachel Stevens - 'More More More,' JoJo - 'Get Out (Leave),' 3 Of A Kind - 'Baby Cakes,' Khia - 'My Neck My Back 2004 (Lick It),' Black Eyed Peas - 'Let's Get It Started,' Dannii Minogue - 'You Won't Forget About Me' & Danzel - 'Pump It Up.'
I mean, you have to give it credit, at the end of the day, it includes Ballad to Hip Hop to Rock to Pop to great Dance tunes! Well done, once again, for releasing another well deserved 4-star Now... compilation!...

best now album in a long whileSo far this year i've thought now albums have been pretty average. There has been some brillant songs and other songs that i think shouldn't have been bothered with. But this ones different. Now albums tend to sidle with the indie side of music on disc 2 OR the club side and this one manages to do both. I think as a now album goes its pretty representative of the music out there today. Right now, loads of people are still thinkin of their summer hols with all the great club tunes and this album provides some great dance numbers as well as giving people pop, rock, cheese, r&b... its a great mix. It's not gonna please the person who likes all alternative, or all house music. But it will please those with a general interest in music, those who like bands, take cheesy pop as what it is and then goes dancing in the clubs all night.

its alritethis album is ok but its just not as good as some of the other albums like now 44 and others. they miss songs out like eminem-just lose it, destinys child-lose my breath and many more. but its still good if u like all kinds of music but most don't so it can't really win.
