Breathtaking and brilliant
For the very first time in many many years, Eric Clapton plays music with a smile on his face and with genuine enjoyment and determination. br / br /For three decades I have known Eric Clapton as a talented musician but I have always been put off by his morose overtones. Finally he has found something to bring out the uninhibited talent and sheer enjoyment of music. This is the music of Robert Johnson. br / br /From the DVD it is obvious that this is no ordinary music, Eric himself is struggling to master some of the songs, but more than that, he has changed the originals to be so different that only musicians of enormous talent could hope to meet the challenge. br / br /Maybe that is it, the challenge, for the first time in thirty years Eric has set himself a musical - and not emotional - challenge; and the result is a revelation. Enjoyment, vibrancy, soul, heart, and bucket loads of sheer musical skill. This DVD/CD rocks along fluently, easily punchily, foot tapping rhythm, brilliant keyboards, crisp drumming and out of this world guitar work. br / br /Oh and he's not half a bad vocalist either. br / br /Picture quality is very very good. Sound quality on the DVD is the most defined and clear I have heard on any recording bar none. br / br /If you have long craved for Eric Claptons' jaw dropping guitar solos without the depressing songs to go with it then this the THE recording for you. br / br /This is an absolute stone wall must have CD/DVD. br /

If you must have only one dvd/cd from clapton , it should be this one!
