Check compatibility
I bought one of these (not from Amazon) to find that they are PCI-64 cards, and wouldn't fit in my PC as the extended row of pins interfered with other board components. I have also read that if you don't put them in a PCI-64 slot, you only get Firewire 400 anyway. There is a Belkin PCI-1 card that would fit, but is much more expensive.
