kenwood patisserI bought the Patissier after reading the reviews and I am not disapointed, what a fab machine.I have wanted a mixer for years and the Kitchenaid was much to expensive, this little beauty looks good and does a brilliant job. For my first food mixer "didn't I choose well " Keep on baking!

Brilliant....better looking than.Kenwood Patissier MX275 Mixer, 4 Litre, 400W (Cream)I like numerous people before me had been hankering after a Kitchenaid mixer, especially after watching Nigella using hers in her programmes. The price kept on putting me off and I had missed the boot when they were reduced....but.....whilst browsing one day came across the reviews for the Kenwood Patissier and wow wow wow...am I one pleased customer. The machine for me is better looking than the Kitchenaid, sturdidly built..powerful. Also I was lucky enough to purchase it at £97 plus a few pence.....against £300 odd for the Kitchenaid. So thank you for all the previous reviewers I have now got a great mixer at a great saving...wonder why I ever hankered after the otherone.

Cannot believe this is the same product everyone else loves!I had been longing to buy a new food mixer since my last Kenwood 'died' a couple of years ago. Being a very keen home baker for around 30 years I have tried most kitchen appliances in my time. This was terrible. On my first attempt I made sure mixture was soft and at room temp but this couldn't even cream a simple 6oz butter and sugar mix to start a cake off. Everything was left around the edge of the bowl and the bit that did get touched stuck firmly to the beaters. After ten minutes of fiddling about turning speed up and down, scraping the mixture down several times, it was still not creamed. It seemed very slow to react when turned on or up, the top part jiggles about in operation. I tried 4 more familiar recipes in it before giving up and requesting a collection.
This is all very disappointing after reading such good reviews on this site and I have now lost the chance to buy the Kitchenaid Classic at £149, which was the choice I had when purchasing this. I have many Kenwood products with no problems at all and now that I have a bit more time on my hands due to changed working patterns, wanted to get back to baking but alas not with a Kenwood Patissier.

Brilliant!! Better than Kitchenaid!!I have just purchased this mixer after many, many weeks of indecision - I really wanted a kitchenaid as they are supposed to be the best but the classic version of the kitchenaid doesn't have a handle on the bowl. To get a handle you would have to get the artisan version which is over £300. And a bowl with a handle would be so much more user friendly and for this kind of money I think a handle is a requirement and not a luxury!! So I came across this mixer which has everything - 3 attachments, handle on bowl, powerful motor - in fact more powerful than the classic kitchenaid, looks really nice - I think it actually looks better than the kitchenaid. And I really liked the colour - cream fits in better with my kitchen than white. And I have now used it and I am not disappointed. Its really really great and I am so chuffed with it!

Help! Can't stop baking cakes - I'm a stone heavier....I wanted a beater that could almost scrape around the inside of the bowl so you could leave it to mix all the mixture whilst you get on with other things. The Kenwood beater fits the bowl very well and when making a cake I only have to scrape the mix away from the sides and bottom of the bowl once to make sure. My friend has the Kitchenaid and the beater leaves a much bigger margin of unmixed mixture and so needs more hands on attention. This will probably only make sense to other cake making nerds like me...
