Start of a Chobits fan ...
Well, it certainly does grip from the very beginning.

Lovely idea, good drawing, good characters - lots of humour, even though lots of it is the "I can't believe it's a Persocom (it feels like a girl to me)" sort.

Speaks volumes about adolescent life in Japan ... but also about the adoption of tecnology into our daily (love) lives.

Basically I'm going to buy the next disc (and the next I expect) cos it's just loads of fun to watch.

...Simply excellent!
This was the first anime series I watched after a friend introduced me to anime by showing me Macross Plus on the Sci-Fi channel. When I watched it I borrowed the fansub copies of a friend and I enjoyed it so much I managed to watch all 26 episodes of the series in less than a week.

The basic story is about a 18 year old, Hideki, who has to go to cram school and finds a mysterious Persocom, Chi, in the trash. The story gets quite interesting and well telling anymore on the story will spoil the excellent and interesting plot and twists.

There are some funny scenes and some typical anime scences (you know, cute girl, teen boy, bloody nose etc). The music is well picked and works very nicely with the anime. The characters are introduced and progressed nicely enough so that it doesn't get too confusing. You'll get more attached to the characters as you continue to watch it and there is bound to be some characteristics in some characters that you will relate to in some way.

This anime will well worth buying and is a classic that you can truely enjoy over and over again.

If you are new to anime or are unsure about it rent it first, but if you like a good story with twists you will like Chobits.
