nice idea
My girls had this set, which is a really nice idea, but in practise the bug eyes were hard to stick on and although they enjoyed it, i think it would be just as easy to collect your own stones and decorate them yourself which we have done since, with better results.

crayola are always good value
this is a good rainy day kit but you do need to help the younger ones with it quite a bit and older kids who could do it alone would probably be to old for it. Excellent if you then make up story with the rock creature as characters

Bug Rocks Rock!
I bought this for xmas for my 7yr old niece. She could not have been happier - it even competed with her new DS. It also means when she has friends round they have to have brought a rock to decorate and many of the items are replaceable from stationary shops. She even had to stop her older brother and sisters from taking over and they range up to 13yrs old. br /More fun than a fun thing. br /For the price it makes a perfect inexpensive children's party prezzie.
