Bought this battery grip last week for my 400d. Great job can now hold the camera steady and have a full hand on the grip and is quite comfi. would also reconmend that you also buy the hand strap. Make the camerea much more secure also. 5+ stars from me. Well done canon and amazon for the great price!

Worth every penny!
Having been used to the 35mm EOS, the 400D was a tad too small for me and although it felt so much better than any other digital (non SLR) camera I have used it just wasn't quite right.
The solution? Add this beautiful grip to an already impressive camera and you have a superb piece of kit. It feels right, the weight is there to help steady your shooting and it adds battery life, perfect. The additional shutter release is also a great feature and once you get into the habit of using it, brings a whole new dimension to your photography.
One word of warning, DON'T even consider other makes of grip in a similar style, pay for the real deal and you won't be dissapointed. The others really are cheap immitations, they look like it and feel like it.

BG-E3 Battery Grip
If you have an EOS 350D or 400D then I cannot recommend this product enough. Not only will it allow you to shoot for longer, as it has the capacity to hold two NB-2LH batteries or six AA's, but the added grip makes the camera feel sturdier in your hands. It is very comfortable and allows you to shoot in portrait without crossing over your hands. I don't think you will find a negative comment about this accessory.

Superb
A friend of mine has the 350D. When I first saw his camera I thought it must be a very expensive model. On examination, I found that he had bought a battery grip for it. I was so impressed with the quality of this attachment that I ordered one straightaway from Amazon for my 400D. The price was extremely reasonable and the money I feel was well spent. My camera feels much more stable, is a joy to hold and I am actually enjoying my photography more. I would never have believed it. I can't praise it highly enough.

A great addition to the EOS 400D
This is a really great purchase. My boyfriend has much larger hands than me; so I bought this for him, and he finds the camera so much easier to use now!

I didn't like it at first (as it's quite bulky), but I now find myself using it without even thinking about it whenever I use the camera. It's actually really useful!
