I Love The Nightlife!
This is a fabulous movie and a great parody on a fantastic character. I first saw this movie as a little girl and it's been one of my favourites for many years. I would give this film more than 5 stars if it was possible, apart from the following problem. br / br /I bought this dvd as a birthday gift to myself (as you do!) and was dismayed when the disco scene started. The music was ok, but when the camera followed Dracula's and Cindy's foot movements, the song was completely out of place and in my head all I could hear was "I Love The Nightlife". Extremely disappointed. Now when I watch the film I just skip it to the next scene, as I can't stand watching something that looks out of sync! If a petition is available to get this song back in the movie, please let me know and I'll be happy to add mine and all my friends names to it as they feel the same way.

Coffin with laughter
This film is a forgotten gem, as evocative of Dracula done well as it is of the seventies. Although a spoof, it is extremely reverent to the story of the world's most famous vampire - it's just that Bram Stoker never got round to telling us what the Count might be doing in 1979. br / br /The answer is: getting kicked out of his castle by angry villagers and bureaucrats in the pocket of Ceausescu ('without me, Transylvania will be about as exciting as Bucharest...on a Monday night'), catching a plane to New York with loyal servant Renfield and his penchant for eating the sort of thing Ant and Dec force down your throat on 'I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!' and tracking down the girl of his dreams. br / br /The gags may be juvenile, but they're priceless: Van Helsing's ancestor trying to exorcise Dracula with a Star of David, rather than a crucifix; the Count being mugged in the Bronx; alcohol in someone's bloodstream giving him a hangover. br / br /Totally brilliant. I can never hear that cheesy disco favourite 'I Love the Nightlife (Disco Round)' without thinking of this film. A triumph!

We love the nightlife
I have loved this film since I first saw it 15 years ago as a child, I really believed it was a serious film. George Hamilton is so good it just never occurred to me that A/ Vamps weren't real and B/ This was not how they truely behaved.brThis is a deffinate buy. Haven't got this R1 version as live in England and the R2 I picked up taped over the "I love the Nightlife" song from the disco. Trust me and check with the seller if the song is still on there as you can really tell they're not dancing in time with the music in my version.pOtherwise fab-tastic film still makes me laugh. "You are getting sleepier and sleepier"

funny fangs!
I (Mrs)first saw this on channel 3 many many moons ago.brIt is the best acting work we think George Hamilton has ever done-simply because, HE IS A VAMPIRE!!He is suave, sofisticated, charming, and TANNED!br He really has fantastic humour in this film. "Children of the night......SHUT UP!!"brThe 70's are in full swing and the score to the film is superb.brWe defy anyone to say the happy ending did not move them!brSweet film.

the best vamp-spoof out there
it's the best out there and also the hardest to find. I saw it late night on TV about 5 years ago and have only just found it. You'll laugh you ass off it's so good. There isn't much to say that isnt best experienced by watching. Basic story is a vampire falls for a posh (human) girl and much hilarities insue. Great stuff !! Buy it.
