As ever for new listeners wanting to get into them you must start with Cracked Rear View but as with the earlier reviewer this is a definite 'grower' as am now playing it more and more.

br /Standout tracks are State Your Peace, Hey Sister Pretty, Get Out Of My Mind and Another Year's Gone By although they all stand up pretty well. For those who are lucky enough to have seen them live I can imagine Darius performing Get Out Of My Mind with a bit of sarcasm and swagger.

br /If you're a fan Hootie fan you won't be disappointed with this. A good summer album to have.
Now I have been a Hootie fan since Cracked Rear View burst on the scene some 12 years ago,and to be honest they can do no wrong.Whatever solo projects they do(check out Darius' "Back to Then")they always return to great melodic guitar based pop.I LOVE Darius Ruckers' voice whether he is belting out an uptempo romp or soulful ballad.I was a bit wary about this latest offering after the good but not great self titled album, but I can honestly say after just one listen I was singing along to the very catchy tunes. It is a belter! I agree with other Hootie fans that Cracked Rear View is still my tops if only for nostalgias' sake. But Looking for Lucky is running neck and neck with Musical Chairs in a close second.Go on and grab yourself a great piece of Georgia melody, and when you've fallen in love grab all the other albums as well.Excellent!!!
On first listen wasn't too sure, however after a few plays a definate grower, singing along after no time (although badly). This is what Hootie do best, not as strong as the previous material, but its good to hear new material. For first timers to Hootie, cracked rear view is a must, then musical chairs a close second.
