Xbox Live is an online multiplayer gaming and content delivery system that allows registered users to create their own friends list of other users, and communicate with them via a mail-like system of either text or voice messages which can even be used to send a message to an offline user. With the new Xbox Live Vision camera, users can also send snapshot images to offline friends or video conference with them when theyre online. With the launch of the Xbox 360, Xbox Live went through a major change. The most notable change is the establishment of two subscription types, called Silver and Gold. Xbox Live Silver is free to all Xbox 360 owners. While it does not allow access to online play, it still has access to other Xbox Live features such as the friends list, messages, and the Xbox Live Marketplace. Xbox Live Gold, which requires a monthly or yearly subscription fee, allows users to access all available features on Xbox Live. Although there are no parental controls available in Xbox Live, any reports of misuse of the service for criminal or sexual purposes results in a permanent ban of the account. Necessary
Xbox Live is essential to get the most from your xbox. Although it is 40 pounds the game play is seamless unlike archaic PC and Playstation online games where you have to connect to various servers. Microsoft funds and runs all the game servers so they are virtually lag free and rarely down.
With the new system you don't have to ring any more to cancel the account if you register with this card on your xbox 360 console, your account will just revert to silver after the 12 months which is free.
If you're buying this product for the first time I suggest you register a silver account on your xbox first to make sure that you can connect to the service. Just set up a silver account which is free to see if it works, and if you have a new xbox you will get a 1 month free trial to see if you like it.
Defintely a must buy for any gamer, serious or just for fun!

The best service out there
Definitely worth the £35

Its the best online service of any of the current consoles by a country mile. If you have an xbox 360, this is a must buy.

Xbox Live- Essential
Personally i always thought why buy an expensive Xbox 360 console if you're not going to purchase Xbox Live. I have a PS3 and can tell you that this is the best online service, you can message, private chat, video chat, recommend online content to friend and much much more. When playing a game on live its like unlocking the other half of that game and you really get you're £40 worth then. I would also recommend a microphone if you plan to game with friends.

Xbox live is a must have for you're 360!

Worth every penny
Gives you so much more than just the single player games. Lets you keep in contact with mates and great to communicate whilst playing a game. Worth the money, especially now with the extra chapters on GTA IV available only to Xbox live subscribers!

X Box live is the best on line service BUT DONT BUY HERE.... YET!
Yup all who actually own / played / seen it in action know how much X Box live is!

GetXboxcodes however (sponsored link above the reviews bit) sells 13month codes for 360 (completley legit) and you dont spent any hidden costs!

Thats $47 which at the current rate of exchange means you are only spending £23.65!! This is a huge saving and unless you really like spending money then Id use them!
