Then God created "Life"!Well following the outstanding Almas Del Silencio Ricky had to pull something wonderful out of the hat, especially after the wait. Without knowing it, and after listening to this album I now realise that this is the album that Ricky just HAD to make. A Latino-fest just wouldn't have done and I admire Ricky's musical growth and the spot-on instinct he has shown in creating this great album. The fusion of cultures is exquisite; above all Ricky has certainly managed to hit the nail on the head in combining Eastern styles into his own Latin style without losing either. A really great album...Welcome back Ricky

'Life' is a Gift - Enjoy itLife by Ricky Martin is wonderfully composed. I have to say that even though 'I dont Care' features Fat Joe and Amerie (who are great) Ricky stands out on his own. His vocals are very different in this song and suited him so well. My Favourite tracks are 'Till I get to you' for its universality, 'I won't Desert you' for its fusion of different music, 'I dont care' for featuring new Ricky, 'I Am' for its subject matter (lol), 'It's Alright' for its dancing beats, 'Drop it on me' for its free overpowering style and 'This is Good' for just being good :) brSo yeah I would definitely recommend this CD, even if you are not a fan, buy this for its originality or buy it to support the good cause Ricky is fighting for :) God bless him

His best album to date! Keep great albums like this coming! This is a very strong album from ricky martin, with such an excellent range of diversity. He went to India to record "I won't desert you" and it is such a fantastic fusion of so many influences. The collaborations are also brilliant, with Amerie, fat joe, daddy yankee, voltio and others. brEach song is distinct, catchy and full of different sounds. It's going to take me a long time to get tired of this album, the lyrics are fresh and meaningful; I can't wait to see all the videos for these songs. brA must have for Ricky fans, you won't be dissapointed, and if you are not a fan already, you will be.

He still bangs! That fateful night at the Grammy's all those years ago brought Enrique Jose Martin Morales (Ricky Martin) instant international fame, and put him high up on my radar with his looks, energy and swoon-worthy hip movements. Unfortunately, he burned brightly for a while, and then all but disappeared without a trace until he was dragged back into the limelight by the unlikely vehicle of the song-mangling William Hung, who "Banged" with the worst of them in 2004. pThis album is a welcome return for the Latin heartthrob with the million watt smile, and is in fact his tenth album, following among others, "Sound Loaded" (2000), "La Historia" (2001), "The Best of" (2001), and "Almas del Silencio" (2003). pAn energy packed album, it has a variety of rhythms, styles and beats, from Asian to Hip Hop, Pop and Rock, for a multi-cultural experience you won't forget in the near future. pFirst single ""I Don't Care" features Amerie and Fat Joe, with very interesting background string arrangements direct from India. First track "Til I Get to You" starts off with a Middle Eastern melody, and then sounds a little George Michael-ish, until it crescendos into its catchy chorus. Other picks are the smoldering ballads "Stop Time Tonight" and "Save the Dance", the Latin dance track "Drop It On Me" with Daddy Yankee and Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas (the best track in my humble opinion), and the heat generating remixed version of the single "Que Mas Da (I Don't Care)". pNot his best album, but it's so good to have him back that you won't care a whit. pAmanda Richards

Great LifeWhat a great and surprising album. Ricky Martin said he travelled the world to find new sounds for his latest album "Life" and it shows, such a diverse and exciting mix of eclectic sounds, cultures and pure danceable tunes. If you're a fan of Ricky's you'll have this in your collection already, if you're not, give it a listen, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The collaborations and productions are awesome. Ricky's finest English album so far.
