The presentation is exemplary: good new liner notes and packaging containing the original artwork. Even better is the fact that if the two albums concerned are too long to fit on one CD, the reissue is done on two discs so that we get both albums in their entirety - sometimes with excellent bonus tracks.

br /These two were always special favourites of mine. "Never, Never, VNever" had been available on CD with very poor sound. On this reissue, it's never sounded better.

br /"Good, Bad but Beautiful" is another excellent album. It's one I had been hoping would be reissued and it is great to have it back in my collection.

br /Both these albums are top notch. There are so many good songs, some familiar and some not. All the performances show Dame Shirley at her very best. Thoroughly recommended.
This has to be one of Shirley's finest albums. I had it on vinyl years ago and was glad to be able to pick it up on cd. She sings with such emotion and power in her voice. A must for any Bassey fan!!
This 2 cd set contains the complete albums Never Never Never and Good, Bad But Beautiful from 1973 and 1975. Both were big hit albums when they were originally released with Never Never Never hitting the Top 10 as a single and as an album. Good Bad But Beautiful did not produce any hit singles even though it includes Bassey's excelllent Send In The Clowns, Jesse and I'll Be Your Audience although the album still made it to number 13 none the less. These albums find Bassey at the peak of her vocal powers with material, orchestrations and production to match. The remastering to CD is the very best from the experts at BGO. As these two albums contain songs that will be familiar to lovers of great songwriting as well as the die hard Bassey fans, this would be an excellent introduction to someone wanting to hear Bassey singing outside the Bond studio.
