Bruce Springstein
Many years ago I saw Bruce Springstein and the E Band at St James Park Newcastle and he was without doubt the greatesty live Rock performer I had ever seen and that night is still a fond memory br /However the this DVD to me is very disapointing in as much the performance is virtually in the dark and the material he does now has changed a lot from his younger days br /Got fed up very quickly and have not seen it right through

Hammersmith Odeon, London '75 - GREAT STUFF !!!!!!!!
I have bought this edition especially for the Hammersmith Odeon, br /London 1975 concert. br /Yes, the video is rather dark but try to look at things in a positive br /way : darkness creates mystery and atmosphere. br /The is a great concert with remarkable good sound quality ! br /ENJOY this piece of history. br /Thanks Bruce ! br / br /

Born to Run 30th Anniversary Box Set
£8 HMV - nuff said. Be Quick to avoid disappointment.This is a quality item that every fan should get.It looks great, sounds great and has enough "new" stuff to be worth more than a casual passing glance. Completists should seek out the audio version of the concert dvd. Given his newfound creativity and popularity, it's a shame that the fairy dust hasn't been sprinkled upon the other landmark albums of the last 30 years. He appears to be the only artist worthy of remastering whose back catalogue hasn't been Mr Sheen'd. Lord knows there's plenty of stuff out there that should have been allowed to gather dust peacefully.

Born to Run
First off it has to be said that 'Born To Run' is one of those albums that should be in everyone's music collection. Not only is it a groundbreaking album, but it still sounds as fresh and has full impact even after all of these years. With tracks such as 'Thunder Road' and 'Jungleland' (with the best sax solo you will ever hear) this album has track after track of sublime music. This 30th anniversary boxset has the remastered album, as well as a documentary DVD with interviews with all those involved in the albums production and another DVD of the excellent Hammersmith concert. The documentary is about 90 minutes long and is truly insightful into what went on in writing, recording and producing 'Born to Run', it also looks at some of the impact and hype the album created as well. The concert DVD shows Bruce in fighting spirit, winning over the London crowd with a storming set that shows just how great he is live. There is also a CD sized photo booklet with a small essay and loads of images of the band at that time. This is a great overall package and not only do you get one of the greatest albums of all time, but you get a deeper insight into it's conception and an amazing live performance to boot. Highly recommended.

This DVD/CD has to have five stars
Five stars, greatest concert I've ever seen on DVD, better than 'Bullet in a Bible', Texas 'Greatest Hits', some of the best stuff I have ever seen, only seen the concert though, haven't heard the CD or seen the documentary (yet). br / br /I think the low reviewers either don't like life, themselves or both. That's how it looks to me. You won't regretting owning this. br / br /Sinc. br /Jesper
