Three Legends in Dallas Super ConcertI'm English but I was actually at this concert in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium along with 80,000 fans sweltering in temperatures of 90 degrees plus. This truly is the stuff of legends.

br /The show, whch lasted all afternoon and evening was brilliant and this CD captures the spirit of the work of 3 legends of country music. If you don't know anything about country music then this is a good taster for this genre of songwriting and how country fans look to always have a good time. Check out Five O'Clock Somewhere or Margaritaville if you have the time. It ain't big, it ain't clever, it ain't real smart but it is good fun

br /My only regret is that they didn't produce a DVD of the event. Alan Jackson and George Strait are the real megastars of country music and Jimmy Buffet is just good fun when you have a drink in your hand and the sun is shining! It's worth a listen at the very least and you never know, like my youngest son you might want a copy of these feel-good songs!

br /When all is said and done if you fancy a drink remember its 'Five O'Clock Somewhere!

...entertainment at its best...One hundred and twenty million people can't be wrong, surely? Because that's how many records George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Jimmy Buffett have sold between them. And, for once, the numbers don't lie, as Strait and Jackson, in particular, are in mighty fine form, honky tonking it up in front of the thousands of fans who turned up at Dallas's Texas Stadium back in May 2004.
br /
br /I've no idea why it took so long to get this out on CD, as over 15 tracks, the three singers sing together, separately, and in pairs and sound as though they are having an absolute blast. The beginning of the album belongs to George Strait, and his is by far the strongest set on offer. Although I'm sure fans of Jackson and Buffett will disagree!
br /
br /Strait covers honky tonk and western swing with equal aplomb, with his Ace In The Hole Band in particularly fine form on the aged classic 'Milk Cow Blues'. Buffett turns out for a great version of 'All My Ex's Live In Texas', and when Strait is in form this good, he's peerless. And let's not forget all three taking on 'Hey Good Lookin'! Frankly, it doesn't get better.
br /
br /The best of Alan Jackson's set sees a cracking bluegrass version of 'Seven Bridges Road' and a hometown version of 'Texas Women'. Jimmy Buffet I can give or take, usually the latter, but in small doses even 'Margaritaville' is bearable. And he does a cracking job on 'Sea Of Heartbreak', so credit where credit's due
br /
br /But what you are getting is three great performers at the top of their game, singing great songs. And that, is what it's all about.
