A missed opportunity
We bought a few of these Baby Einstein CDs for our baby boy (so this review concerns all three titles) and to be honest I'm rather disappointed with the content. The tracks are mostly produced with electronic sounds which imitate their acoustic sources. There are a few acoustic solos but overall the sound is sequenced (and in places rather badly too). If I were after a cover of club/dance classics such production would be great, but here, we are talking about acoustic music. The Lullaby Classics CD would benefit from real acoustic instruments especially. I want my baby to hear these compositions as they were suppose to sound - perhaps with simpler arrangements than the original full blown orchestrations, as not to overload our baby's hearing - but nonetheless using acoustic instruments. So, not really 'Baby Einstein', but more like 'Baby Muzak'... I see myself compiling my own selection of gentle and soothing classical music compositions, which really don't need that electronic-computerised approach to benefit my baby boy. :-(

Plinky plonk
Its classical music in a plinky plonky way. I've no idea whether our baby likes it or not, but it drives me mad, so its probably perfect for him. TBH I'd have preferred a recording of an orchestra, but I'm only the father. What do I know about how a baby hears the world. br / br /So... Plinky plonky muzak for babies. Does what it says on the tin (though I'd take the Einstein bit with a pinch of salt).

Absolutely awful
I was soooooooooooo disappointed with this CD. My son loves Brahams Lullaby when he hears it on his musical mobile so, having read other reviews, I thought I would get a CD of lullabies. He hates it and so do I. I recognise the music on the CD but the 'instruments' used are awful. It sounds like they went into a nursery and asked the children there to play! My son's mobile sounds like the quality of an ice cream van but it is soothing. I think this is definitely the WORST 'cover version' of any music I have ever heard. The original composers must be turning in their graves and I don't blame them. I did not want to give any stars but I would not have been able to proceed with my review! Shame!

Lullabies for babies and adults
This is an excellent CD with lullabies suitable for babies, children and adults alike. The music lulls you into a nice relaxed state and can be enjoyed anywhere

relaxing and tranquil!
sorry to see that this CD has got a bad review as I think it is wonderful. My son can't go to sleep without it, it really helps him to relax and unwind. I think the fact that it isn't the original version is good, as the tracks are shorter and don't get too loud which is often the case with classical music. I really like listening to it too, I think it is well made!
