Superlative, the best live album I have ever heard
If you do not even know who Curtis Mayfield was, prepare for perhaps the best live album by any artist. No matter what your musical taste, from Blues to Emo to Nu-Metal, this is one to own. br / br /The atmosphere is an intimate New York club. The set is sparse, the timing impeccable. br /"Mighty Mighty" is a kick-start into a wonderful sonic experience. br /Karen Carpenter's "We've Only Just Begun" is sung in a way that makes it his own. br /The crescendo is "If there's a Hell below". It will amaze you. br /

Live and sweet with a solid groove
Not my words below. But so true. br / br /"Curtis/Live! is, simply, one of the greatest concert albums ever cut on a soul artist, and one of the legendary live albums of all time." br / br /Bought this CD after seeing Curtis and his band in a similar 'stripped down' setting on the Old Grey Whistle Test. br / br /Everything is great on this Rhino re-issue. The sound. The songs. The ambiance.
