You won't regret putting a bit of Spice in your life
Amongst the often excellent music currently emerging from Jamaica, Richie Spice stands out as a really special artist. His beautifully soulful voice is remarkable and his ever melodic songs are always inspired. This collection gives us 17 songs (4 of the 21 tracks are intros) which reflect the diversity of Richie's talent. From the up-tempo Earth A Run Red and Folly Living to the spiritual soulfulness of Outta The Blue, Richie is magnificient (and the violin back-up on Outta The Blue is an inspired touch). And the poignant lament to the fate of children in our world in Crying Out For Love is one of the most moving pieces of reggae ever recorded.
