Excellent
I purchased these telephones when I moved into my new home. Unfortunately the hand book was missing. I reported it to Amazon who suggested I repack and return it for a replacement. I found the idea of repacking impossible and I did not have the time to waste on sending parcels back and forth. I found and downloaded the manual on the internet. The telephones themselves are excellent and I cannot recommend them too highly. They are in daily use and do so faultlessly. As a previous writer has noted, the base unit CAN be set to flash to indicate a newly recorded message. An excellent buy apart from the hand book nuisance. If you are considering new telephones you need look no further.

2 major design flaws
I'm surprised nobody has pointed them out.

1. You cannot transfer a call between handsets - now what's the point in having 2 handsets if you have to carry the handset that the call was answered with to the other end of the house to someone who was already in posession of the other handset?

2. This it by far the worst. If you want to have a nap (or more importantly the baby is sleeping) and you turn the handsets to silent so that they don't ring, when the answering machine kicks in IT PLAYS THE MESSAGE THROUGH THE HANDSET LOUDLY AS IT IS BEING RECORDED!!! And there is no way of turning it off. Now can someone remind me what "silent" means again....?

The backlight remaining on whilst the phone is charging is also a minor nuisance but easily solved by removing the handset from the charger overnight. And the ring tones are pretty awful.

Other than that, this is a good quality phone and the sound is good. But some of the features just haven't been thought through.

Almost perfect
Completely agree with other reviews how wonderful this telephone is - great features, sounds quality, reliability, etc, etc

Just one design flaw to point out - whilst it has a 2.5mm jack to be used with a headphone set (Plantronics does nicely) it lacks the belt clip. This limits the usefullness around the house whilst on the headset.

Otherwise, strongly recommended in every way. I even bought an extra handset and now have a quad setup in my house

Very Good Phone
I bought this Panasonic set to replace a BT cordless DECT set. The BT base units appear to fail on a fairly regular basis so I thought it time for a change.

I'm generally pleased that I picked the Panasonic KX TG8122E from the vast choice available. Good feature set, good clear sound from the earpiece and a speaker phone make it a good choice for me.

Fast & efficient delivery made the entire deal a pleasurable experience.

Excellent choice
Excellent phones packed with features, intuitive menu system & attractive design. Only negative comments which are very minor include screen too bright when left on the base overnight on the bedside table (I just take it off the base at night to disable the backlight) and the dreadful ringtones! There are about 4 or 5 out of 20 which are acceptable. Otherwise, genuine value for money product from a good and reliable manufacturer.
