Not knowing whether to laugh or cry
Sometimes you watch a film and come away from it thinking that you have seen something genuinely unique and astonishing. The problem arises when the film is about a single person. Just watching the frenetic genius of Zizek and his formidable honesty forces a feeling of complete inadequacy.
This film is sensational - it is wonderful to see someone who is absolutely burning with ideas, genuinely funny and completely human. His lecture on Casablanca in the deleted scenes is worth getting the DVD alone.
You watch the film, trying to keep up with the man, learning and laughing at the same time.
Really something.
