Philips Spype Cordless Telephone +++
Perfect for Skype call, it's easy to install, within 15 minutes I connected it.
It dose what it said on the box, very small,not taking much space. It looks cool and smart. I really like it.

overide issue
This phone keeps asserting itself as the default speakers and mic on the PC. So after everytime Skype is used I have to manually reconfigure the default playback device. Sound is also poor as a phone. Great potential poor execution.

Cheap
Sound quality on Skype is not good....using my creative mic headset. Disappointing, but cheap...
Wont buy it again.

Cheap and nasty - not what i would expect from amazon
Like so many over specked items this potentially offers a wide range of functionality but performs badly in the essentials - poor quality sound and over amplified microphone - unless i have missed these adjustments in the manual. Disappointing - will sell it on ebay.........so beware fellow ebayers!

Beware! Manuals are terrible and having just spoken to Philips they have confirmed that the product cannot be connected simultaneously as a VOIP and standard phone. It is "either or", which quite frankly is extremely shoddy and very misleading. Why would you want to buy a phone that's needs to be switched around. It undermines the entire concept of receiving a call when you dont expect it. If someone else knows a method in which to connect to both VOIP and standard at the same time please write it here. If this is not possible then the product has been marketed extremely misleadingly.
As a standard phone the quality is fine!
