Finally, a dinosaur game you can loveIn style this is much the same as 'Zoo Tycoon' or any other park maker, with additional games where you have to try and photograph the dinos without getting squished - great fun if one drives and the other snaps. Loses points for me with games based upon violence - one where you are a ranger and must shoot all the predators that have escaped - unnecessary given the previous game - what is this love of guns (rant, rant!)? Generally a great park maker with the added bonus of making dinos - superb.

Yep this is a pretty decent game [for a while]We got this game for a few quid. It loads and runs on all 4 of our XP PCs and has minimal system requirements (1Ghz CPU and above with a decent graphics card, although a faster PC improves detail). The game is basically a dinosaur version of Zoo Tycoon. You build lots of cages, buy vegetarian and carnivore dinosaur eggs and grow them on (there's plenty of species on offer once you have payed out for Dinosaur DNA 'digs' worldwide). The graphics aren't bad and we found ourselves captivated with the game for a few weeks. You can buy lots of things for paying zoo visitors or your dinosaur pets ranging from veggies and cows/goats (munchies) to reinforced shelters and auto-gun turrets (in case the little darlings escape). The more money you make the better the show you put on (and more importantly you can afford stronger enclosure fences). I wouldn't recommend mixing little snack sized dinosaurs with large carnivores though. My son (11), his mates and I all loved the game. Gradually we got bored of it once we have built everything, done everything, but it was good fun while it lasted. The only downside is that 'storms' happen quite frequently, wrecking enclosures and causing carnage, making you have to start again - just when you got everything nice. So easily four stars for the money, particularly if you like sims games.
