Did you know that two-thirds of humankind still live today without a bathroom? In some cases they may even be better off than we are, but it's a real shame that they cannot have an excuse to own one of our objects designed for that part of the house, a part so important and yet so neglected by good design. This is the programme for which the 'Anubis' box by Giacon has been created!

A cartoonist by profession, a man of talent and great personality, Massimo Giacon has turned his narrative abilities and usual whimsy to designing the Mr. Cold liquid soap dispenser, the "Mr. Suicide bathplug (2000), and the Anubis container. Born in Padua, Italy in 1961, he is widely regarded as a leading light in the renewal of Italian comic. He divides his time as a graphic artist, designer, musician and artist.

The metaproject "Family Follows Fiction" began in 1991, and grew out of a desire to explore the emotional structure of objects even more profoundly then we had done in the past. We were interested in the most delicate, intimate, sensory human needs. The objects became ludic tools, telling little tales, giving captivating twists to everyday uses, suggesting a mediation with playfulness& becoming a bridge to the fantastical. For F.F.F. we drew upon Winnicott's words on 'Transitional Objects', as well as Franco Fornari's theory of 'Emotional Codes'. At the outset the idea was to reproduce the process of creation and animation of the object common to the world of childhood and of primitive cultures.
