Creative Couldn't Care Less
Beware of Creative customer care.

I recently contacted them with a problem with my MP3 player.

Basically, although it worked fine and was fully loaded with my whole music and video collection, I couldn't add any further content to it.

Customer care took me through a diagnostic process which ended with a instructions to completely reformat the machine, stripping it of its operating system.

I e-mailed them to say I was nervous of doing this, but they insisted it was necessary and that if it didn't work I'd be invited to send the unit in for repair or replacement.

When I took the fateful step and lost everything they informed me that I was out of warranty and they wanted £60 to repair it (even though they had known my purchase date and had a copy of my Amazon receipt from the beginning).

As this unit can now be bought for about this amount I had no option but to bin it.

Result, no player, 4500 tracks and dozens of films lost forever.

If they had told me the cost of repair before pushing me to reformat I could have made and informed decision.

Do not trust their advice, in fact if I were you I'd buy elsewhere!

Smart, very smart indeed
What a fabulous little piece of kit this is! New knockdown price of £45 makes it a bargain!

Follow the instructions, install software first before connecting the Zen to the PC, and once it is connected leave it there until the battery full sign appears (all explained in the instruction manual).

The accompanying software is excellent, and the sync manager is a great time saver, although that does bring me to my only negative point - 2GB simply isn't enough for your average music collection. So, you have to be selective about what you put on it - I only managed to get 456 MP3 tracks onto it alongside the pre-installed stuff......

So small it will easily fit into even the tightest pocket, reputed to have great battery life, lovely sound, easy user interface, excellent supporting software, no daft Chinglish instructions - brilliant!

ok at first then froze Chose another model
this is my first review ever so this shows you I am bothered enough to tell others.
I have brought the 1MB (not video) for my other half as a gift, that was really good so I decided to buy this on the strenght of that.
What a disappointment it froze and had to go back - I did get a complete refund so global digital get marks there, but you never get the postage back which amounts to over £7.00. oh well! Beware don't get this model

I think it's Fabby
I bought this MP3 player a week ago. I am really pleased with it. It is easy to use ( for me to say that it must be easy). The instructions are not very good but I found some good advice about its functions on the internet. I love the fact that you can bookmark and fast forward and rewind.

The Best Player In The World For So Many Reason!
I bought this player a year ago. It has to be the most brilliant player on the market. My player has been through a 40 degrees wash when i left it in my pocket. I emailed Creative and they gave me a patch to load onto it that made it work again. It works perfectly! The headphones it comes with aren't the best but they aren't bad! It plays video, has a radio and everything. Not good for watchin movies on but hey! I love it. If you want a big screened player with what this player has and more get a 4GB or 2GB Veho Mii for only £40!!! It is another brilliant player at a low price!
