They are performed with great enthusiasm by the Monty Python crew with appreciation by the audience which gives it the edge over the 'normal' recordings. The rendition of the Parrot sketch is the best I've heard. I bought this CD (And many of the other MP CDs) to replace my old LPs which had sadly warped whilst in storage. It was great to hear them all again...
These days all successful TV comedy troupes take their comedy on a theatre tour almost immediately, however Monty Python were the first to do this and certainly the most successful, they eventually played at the Hollywood Bowl. This recording finds them at The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, one of London's most famous theatres.

br /The performance is a kind of Monty Python's Best of featuring such brilliant sketches as `Nudge, Nudge', `Travel Agent', `Bruces', `the Lumberjack Song' and `the Parrot Sketch'. Also performed is the `Four Yorkshiremen Sketch' written by Chapman and Cleese for the `At last the 1948 Show' however it is of suitable quality to fit right at home here. Fantastic stuff, say no more.
