Amazon.co.uk Review
One spin of FutureSex/LoveSounds and it's hard to believe that Justin Timberlake was ever a boy-band barnstormer--no modern-day male artist beats him when it comes to single-minded self assurance or suavity. "SexyBack," the inescapable summer sizzler of a first single off this short and thrillingly unwholesome disc, makes that clear on its own: If there was ever any question about whether sexy was in need of reviving--a doubtful proposition at best, given the sheer volume of JT's gyrating counterparts--he lays it to rest instantly over a small but insistent Timbaland-concocted beat. On that track, Timberlake's appeal is his sweet but newly thuggish-sounding voice--here's a good kid gone bad, and he's determined to convince us of it not only by tossing a few well-timed mother****ers our way but also with such lyrics as "I'll let you whip me if I misbehave." The rest of FutureSex will feel familiar to anyone who picked up 2002's brilliantly funk-flecked Justified: "Love Stoned/I Think She Knows Me," shifts from Michael Jackson-esque paranoid trilling to pulsating guitar rock; "Chop Me Up," a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia and Timbaland, gives up the grit rap-style but still manages to recall both Prince and Stevie Wonder; "My Love," with T.I., mines classic Timberlake territory with meltaway lyrics like "I can see us holding hands walking on the beach/Our clothes in the sand"; and the straight-up but groovy lament "Losing My Way" asks, searchingly, what may be the silliest question a squeal-inducing pop star has ever posed: "Can anybody out there feel me?" Rest assured, JT: we feel every past-, present-, and future-sexy verse. --Tammy La Gorce

A re-release that's actually worth it!
Most of the time, when artists re-release an already successful album it's a blatant cash in with only one or maybe two songs added to make it viable. That makes it a rip off for the fans who already rushed out to buy the original and has long been a bugbear of mine.

With this re-release of FutureSex/LoveSounds we have here a rarity - a deluxe package which actually has a great deal of extra bonus material to justify it (if you'll pardon the pun). There's an entire DVD of extra performances, videos and behind the scenes commentary and footage plus a number of new remixes with guest appearances by various artists.

The original album is in my opinion a fantastic LP which shows off just how far ahead of the zeitgeist Timberlake is - he does something and six months later everyone else is rushing to copy him. The tracks flow together beautifully, and in What Goes Around he has produced his best song to date. There is not one single track on this album that I would routinely skip past, and my only wish for change is that I would love to have heard the 'I Think She Knows' interlude made into a full song. This album is catchy, danceable, great for both clubs and radio, and I have nothing but praise for it. From the thumping bass of SexyBack to the sensitive piano of Another Song, he's flexed his creative muscles and come up with an extremely well rounded piece of work.

So it's a good thing he didn't besmirch the album's good name by putting out a poor excuse for a re-release! This is one of the few re-releases that I would say was still worth the money for a fan who'd purchased the original album, so props to Mr JT

Soul Less
I was a bit apprehensive when it came to listening to this CD. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of JT, but I thoroughly enjoyed his previous solo debut CD Justified, which was a very soulful affair. My apprehension came upon hearing the first single from this CD SexyBack, and that the majority of the CD would be produced by Timbaland. Not with standing one or two efforts (namely Cry Me a River which is a great song) I find Timbaland production soul less & cold. Alas that is how I would describe the majority of the songs on offer here. The only redeeming factors for this CD are the cuts:(Another Song) All Over Again , and Losing my Way, which benefits from a string section, & Hezekiah Walker & the Love Fellowship Choir. Very soulful. If only the rest of the CD could have followed suite.

Great album, & I'm a rock & metal fan!!!
This album is great. That sentence could come from a 4 year old it's so simple, but when talking about this album it's that simple as to say "this album is great". 'Futuresex/lovesound' is a great opener, acting like a warm up song for 'SexyBack' to follow, which has to be the catchiest song of 2006. The second single, 'MyLove', is also great, and a catchy tune too. Some fans would never have expected it, but Mr Timberlake produced two singles over 7 minutes long in 'LoveStoned/I Think She Knows' and my favourite Justin Timberlake song 'What Goes Around.../...Comes Around'. They're for my money, his best work to date. As I said, I'm a rock and metal fan, but you have to respect a man who started off in a boyband at 14 years of age, and presently has the world at his feet, producing a massive hit album with experimental music that his own record producers said would never sell! But he took the risk and it did. It sold millions in fact. His producer, Timbaland, needs to be given an extreme amount of credit for this album also, and has produced a fine album himself recently too, 'Timbaland Presents: Shock Value', featuring Mr Timberlake on a number of songs. All you can say is this is great! Go buy it right now. The Deluxe Edition is now available too.

A VERY GOOD ALBUM
THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN HIS DEBUT WHICH WASN'T EXACTLY BAD ANYWAY!!! GREAT PRODUCTION FROM MAN OF THE MOMENT TIMBALAND AND SOME GOOD COLLABORATIONS FROM T.I. AND NELLY FURTADO ON THERE AS WELL. ONE DOWNSIDE IN MY OPINION IS THAT IT IS JUST TYPICAL POP AND LYRICALLY SPREAKING, THERE IS NOTHING NEW AND EXCITING ON THIS ALBUM ALL THE TRACKS AS THE TITLE SUGGESTS ARE JUST VERY SIMILAR VERSIONS OF THE SAME OVERLY-USED THEME - LOVE. HOWEVER THE BEATS AND THE SONIC LANDSCAPES CREATED ARE AMAZING AND WILL MAKE U WANT TO LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM AGAIN AND AGAIN. HIGHLIGHTS FOR ME ARE SUMMER LOVE, SEXYBACK, MY LOVE AND WHAT GOES AROUND...COMES AROUND.

The Legendary Justin !!!
Justin Timberlake just keeps getting better and better. Justin has now proven he will be around for many years.

He is no 'Has Been'. From Pop singer, to a much respected multi talented Singer.

He has collabrated with some great singers, and Justin is now respected by many. Not only a fantastic dancer, but a great singer and this album proves it. If you have been to any of Justin's concerts you'll know he can sing great live, just like Adam Levine of Maroon Five, who sounds better live than when you watch him on video.

A great album.

Many years ago, Justin Timberlake made his mark in the Mickey Mouse Club. Years later, the gorgeous and talented Justin, has earnt our respect and love, and if food was an award for this Album...Justin would get the Top Cheese !!!!
