Stylish and good value
Last week my wife's Remington hair-dryer of some 6 years went phutt and died. Reason? hair and dust in the motor. This dryer has a removable filter, so it should be easier to keep clean.

So far she is impressed with this dryer, especially at the price. Has all the same controls as her last one and that was nearly double the price, 6 years ago!!!

There is also the added bonus that this newer version is a lot lighter and has a much longer cable.

Dries quickly, lightweight and looks good.
I am by no means a hairdryer expert but I've used this dryer for a few months and it's been brilliant plus it is such a bargain price. Despite the low cost it looks very good and is very well made. There is nothing cheap or tacky about it. I bought it as a temporary emergency replacement but I'm more than happy to keep using it now and have no to plans to buy another.

Despite being described as 'compact' it seems standard size to me.
It's very lightweight so it doesn't give you arm ache. There are two fan speeds and 3 heat settings plus a cool button which I find more than adequate.
It also leaves my hair straighter and less static than my previous non ionic hairdryer. The difference is noticeable.
I will update this review if any problems develop like other reviewers have suggested but so far it's been 100% positive.

Great value for money trust me I am a hairdresser
I am a free lance hairdresser and have bought several of these dryers over the last 2-3 years. I like this model as its light, good heat controls and for the price great value. One did start churning but overall this is a very good hair dryer,

110 percent happy
After doing a thorough Internet search, I was looking for a hairdryer, with latest style, trend and technology and with following features:

1.Ionic conditioning
2.Tourmaline technology
3.Ceramic
4.Good length of cord
5. Powerful: 2 KW or more
6. Reputed manufacturer
7. Last but not the least: Affordable

And I found this hairdryer, fulfilling all of the above requirements. I am happy to have purchased it for just £16.78. It's working excellent. No problem at all.

It has Tourmaline grille in it, which no other hairdryer, in this price range offers.

It seems my extensive Internet search paid off.

But be aware; its cable length is 2.5 m, not 3 m as given under product specifications, on this page. But, I must tell you: 2.5 m is pretty long, no doubt. No inconvenience of any kind.

I think my hairdryer has proven, Remington indeed is one of the leading brands in professional haircare, shaving and grooming.

I am 110 percent happy with it.

So far I like it!
After trying and being disappointed with the Vidal Sassoon dryer and the Philips Tresamme dryer (see my reviews) I bought them because they were both were powerful and had more speed heat settings to give better control (but were both heavy and difficult to use), I decided to try a more compact but equally powerful dryer.

I must admit to being a bit put off by 2 other reviews on this page which state that their Remington dryers blew up on them, but I decided to go ahead and just be wary of any unusual noises coming from the dryer.
The Remington is smaller than other professional salon type dryers, but with 2000w is just as powerful. There are only 2 speed settings, but these are quite nicely balanced, unlike other dryers which have been too slow on the slower setting and too fast on the higher setting.
The 3 heat settings are good although when you turn it up higher, the heat takes a second or so to come through and at first I thought it was not working.
It is both ceramic and ionic, which is very good for a hairdryer at this price. The ionic setting comes on automatically when you turn on the dryer, it cannot be independently set.
It has a cool shot, but this is the only poor thing about the dryer, the cool shot is mildly warm rather than really cool, I do not rely on a cool shot to style my hair, so it does not matter to me, but you may be disappointed if you are expecting a good strong blast of cool air.
The hairdryer is easy to use when you are styling your hair. The concentrator nozzle works well and this combined with the ionic and ceramic settings, leaves my hair bouncy and in good condition when it is dry. I also love the fact that it is small and relatively light as it means it is easy to move around your head without getting arm ache!
So far, so good, I would definately recommend at this point. However I promise that if it blows up, I will edit this review to make other potential customers aware!
