Pointless object
You have probably guessed it from all the other review on this product, but avoid it at all costs.

Out of the box, the construction seems pretty good for such a cheap headset, nice weight but sits OK on your ear. But as soon as you plus it in there is a constant crackling through the earpiece, which settles down after a little, but comes back every time you move even the line of the wire. I was going to use this for xbox 360 Live, in which I will move the controller around a reasonable amount, not massive, but in the course of games the crackling became unbearable at times.

But this fails to mention the main flaw of the headset. The microphone boom is so short (and unadjustable) that the mic doesn't even come close to my mouth, and registers no signal even when I talk at above normal speaking volume. My old mic would pick up voice at a mutter, but this I had to shout loud enough to anger the rest of my house before anything even registered on the mic. This was not because the mic was broken, I took of the headset and moved it closer to my mouth, registered the sound fine, but then I couldn't hear anything as a result of the earpiece not being on my ear, so a pretty pointless contraption by all accounts.

If you're not going to go for one of the more expensive, pro style headsets, then stick with the standard kind. I am loth to say it, but xbox official is probably the way to go for headsets, I haven't found one that functions nearly as well or lasts nearly as long.

DO NOT BUY!
Do not buy this product. This mic is useless and like other revies is not worth the money. The mic is too small and the earpieace keeps falling off. No one can hear you except crackling!

Better off buying the offical micXbox 360 Headset (Xbox 360)

I received this i have to admit it took a while but when it came it was fantastic much better than the original

Avoid!
I bought this item and it turned out to be a big mistake the microphone settles on your cheek and nobody can hear you. It is also uncomfortable and the foam padding for the earpiece doesn't stay on.

not worth it at all
recieved this product and it looked good, with a good concept, WRONG. I plugged it into my controller to find it didnt work, no matter how loud or how close i spoke into it.
get the original headset
