yes yes
This is what modern reggae is all about, bought my copy on the beach in Negril, and have treasured it ever since, great and varied album. You can't go anywhere in jamaica without hearing a bit of Tarrus, and thats for one good reason, he's brilliant.

Keeps on growing !
There's nothing wrong with this album. It has decent production, nice tunes and has it's heart in the right place. I love the track "One, Two, Order" and of course "She's Royal" ... not a hard album to listen to, not exactly challenging, but as I said, nice enough. The more you listen, the more you'll like it. It's a "grower" ...

Just an Average Album
Tarrus Riley debut album (Parables) is poor. The Lyrical contents are average. Most people are going crazy about 2 tracks, possibly 4. Tracks 6 & 7 are the selling point for this album. There are not enough good tracks to rate this album at 5 stars. Don't get me wrong. He does have talent; but it did not come through on this album.
There are quite a number of Reggae Artist who are getting away with not putting enough effort into making a decent album anymore. The Freddie McGregor's and the Beres Hammond's will always have my respect. They always try to put maximum effort into making an album for the music public. If Tarrus Riley convert to Lovers Rock, his future would be much better in the music business!
