Take care - it doesn't work without a landlineI bought this so my daughter could use it at university. She has no landline and I thought connecting to an internet enabled laptop would be sufficient for Skyping. After some fruitless attempts and an 8 minute call to Philips (yes, a human almost straight away on an 0207 number) they confirm that it won't work without connection to a landline.
So it shouldn't be called Dualphone - it should be Normalphone with Skype.

Excellent Skype phoneExcellent Skype phone. Can be also used with you standard telephone line, e.g. BT. Takes 5 minutes to set up on Windows XP. The "hub" needs to be connected to a PC through USB port. The hand sets can be place anywhere in your house.

WARNING!!Unfortunately I read a review on the single philips voip which gave a good write up and decided to order the twin pack, which was on offer had I read these reports I would have changed my mind. As previously stated by other users this does not work with Vista dispite its claims(Trading Standards where are you) I am sure like most customers after hours of going over and over the install and set up based on the Manufactures claims, I always think its my errror, however after contacting philips it turns out that indeed this is not conpatible in all cases. this is a part copy of email from technical dept.
"Please uninstall all current drivers and software regarding the VOIP321 and Skype. After that, please install the Vista drivers from our website:
Also use the version of Skype provided on the disc, instead of the latest version as it may not be compatible yet."The problem I find is there is no compensation for the hours spent trying to solve these issues. I am sure the PC tech guys out there must earn fortunes resolving these issues when customers feel it is there fault the product does not work.I hope this is useful and No I still have not set mine up yet just using it as a a portable phone.

Vista - advertised as compatible, it's not - don't BUYThis phone looks great, feels great and as a phone is great. When it comes to connecting to vista it's not. XP works fine. Vista doesn't recognise the phone regardless of different drivers etc. Be warned and type in Philips 321 on the skype forums and you'll see what I mean.
