Great for experimenting
After a few years of 'capsule' type coffee makers, I grew fed up with having to order dozens of costly individual capsules and not really having a massive choice of coffee. The Prestige is not expensive at £44 and allows you to put in freshly ground coffee of your choice...

Extremely simple to use and has a timer function so you can set it to make you coffee when you get up in the morning. Having friend over for dinner no longer involves a trudge to the kitchen to make individual cups - just press a button and a jug of 10 cups can be made.

Filling it does, unfortunately, require you to be sober. It's a moderately narrow slot for the water reservoir.

A great machine, occupies very little space in the kitchen and makes great coffee - and does the gurgle noises too!

Flawed machine
This machine does not cope well with paper filters. We find that the filter paper occasionally blocks the filter drip hole and the hot water and coffee grounds then flood the filter cone and overflow onto the surface around the machine.

Excellent product - good build quality and efficient

I echo the other comments about quality of build: hadn't realised how unsatisfactory my old coffee maker was till I started using this machine. It makes stronger, hotter, better coffee than my old machine - and it's great to be able set it the night before so that breakfast coffee is ready as you emerge from the shower!
The jug pours well (with the old machine, the water sometimes went all over the place as you poured the water into the reservoir) and the coffee drips accurately into the jug so there's minimal mess on the hot plate - which, by the way, keeps the coffee at a decent temperature (but not stewed) for a good, long time.
Many thanks to previous reviewers (and to Amazon) who helped guide me towards this product: I'm very pleased with it.

Fast and Easy to Use
Would highly recommend. Simple to use - just add filter coffee and press the start switch - takes 5 minutes to obtain a freshly brewed jug of coffee. Particularly liked the filter which can be re-used, without having to buy seperate filters. Easy to clean and doesnt seem to splash onto the hotplate. The machine also has a clock so you can pre-set for your own convenience. The one fault I found was in Amazons delivery couriers - who were off sick so I had to collect from the Aberdeen depot. That aside I was very pleased and have ordered a second one for an elderly aunt who should find the simplicity of use beneficial.

Very good machine
I am delighted with this machine. A previous reviewer commented on how good its jug was and that's what decided me. That and its colour - why is it so hard to find a coffee machine that isn't black or stainless steel? Like many people, my other kitchen appliances are white. The almond colour of this machine goes perfectly well with my toaster, etc. This machine's clock and timer are easy to set up and the jug pours beautifully.
