excellent vfm
I read the reviews for this and many other alternatives before buying a desk top system to replace my old and ungainly tower.At £104 delivered- magic vfm- easy set up- and I'm no engineer- sound quality from speakers at level 10 is excellent when run in- listening to Free 'Mr Big' on Planet Rock as I write.Just as good listening to Bunty on R2 in the Am (guess my age).Tested CD playback with Marianne Faithfull 'Broken English', an Albinoni Adagio, and a Pachelbel canon-all v good. Quality on Bose Acoustic headphones v good. Instructions/manual are as you'd expect from Sony, sub contracted to a man in a shed. Hope this helps

So glad that I ignored the negative comments about the Sony CMT-SPZ90DB Micro Hifi System - With DAB Radio and Cassette Deck. What a great little system, easy to set up, very neat and produces quality sound - brilliant for the price. No problems with DAB reception where I live (Brighton area). Yes, speaker cables are incredibly short - didn't bother with HDD power connectors as suggested in earlier review, simply cut cables and stripped back 1" each end before joining extra length of speaker cable bought from local tv shop, just ensure that you cover joins adequately with electrical tape (sound quality not impaired at all). My only gripe would be that the user manual is a bit basic and not particularly user friendly but it does do the job. Many thanks to Amazon for speedy service - ordered sun pm, parcel arrived Tues am, brilliant service.

TOP SYSTEM FOR THE PRICE
Sony CMT-SPZ90DB Micro Hifi System - With DAB Radio and Cassette Deck
I dont normally write these reviews but due to the bad reviews i have seen i had to give my own opinion. This system is excellent for the price, everything i wanted in a system and also the sound is great. As for the digital radio there was no problems at all, i got all the stations for my area in Leicester and even picked up a few for Nottingham. Overall i would definitely recommend this system, and to think i nearly let the bad reviews put me off buying this product.

Not really micro size
I needed a micro hifi system and this specification seemed to match. However, when it arrived it was huge by comparison to my existing Sony micro system CMTNEZ7 and it is far too big to fit on the kitchen worktop. I couldn't see any dimensions on the Amazon website but I guess the 50W speaker power output should have been a clue to its size. Sadly it goes back.

Great unit

Ordered this unit from Amazon arrived on the day stated well done Amazon.
This hi fi is one of the best I have owned loads of features no problem with the DAB reception but the aerial is flimsy for a Sony product but it works.
Just one word to the wise if you have other Sony items near this hi fi the remote control may activate these e.g. I have a Sony home theatre system close by and when i turn the hi fi onto stand by with the remote it will also switch on the home theatre system,so move it away from other Sony products you may have.one more thing the manual could be a bit more user friendly.other wise a first class product.
