GUYVER!!!!
i really enjoyed this film,as a huge guyver fan,its got fighting,gore,and some romance for people who like that although the bit in the middle is a bit boring but the start and the ending when the guyver fights the guyver zoanoid is the best fight .I recommend this to any guyver fans..

Average even by B movie standards
Although the story of the Guyver is quite good this film is very average.

I liked the premise of the film and the idea of the some average person having this ability to become the guyver and fight for good. If this was done with the technology available today it would have the potential to be as big and brilliant as the spider man films. In the end though its not the power rangers style special effects that let this film down it is the very average acting.

When watching this movie i felt it could easily have been the channel 5 afternoon movie. Maybe if i had watched this movie at the time it came out I would have liked it more then as an action film for my childhood but now it just looks very dated. A movie doesnt need a big budget of brilliant CGI effects to be a classic, evil dead is a great example of this but this film just never seems to raise itself above average.

overall this film is let down by a second rate script and second rate acting, one for die hard guyver fans and those who have seen this as a kid and want some nostalgia.

GUYVER!!!!!!!
I saw this years ago with my brother, and along with the anime series - we loved it.

I watched it again recently and I still enjoyed it! The film isn't the best in the world, and the quality of the picture is pretty poor (the transfer looks to be direct from VHS!) - BUT, there is a camp charm to this and I can't help but enjoy it.

Maybe if I'd not seen this film as a lad I'd have given it 3 stars, maybe the cloud of nostalgia gives me a distorted view of the film.

This film seems like the power rangers - but good. The Zoanoid costumes are kitsch but passable. There's a spatter of blood for those who like that, a romance, some martial art-esque fighting, and a splash of sci-fi.

Sit back, relax, and run round like a loon pretending you have a guyver unit and can transform at will!
