Had to import it....worth the wait...hysterical and brilliant!
...Being an American ...its hard not to be offended by the stereotyping that Mr Clarkson carries on a bit too far on this program...well it would be if it weren't sadly...TRUE! As one of the few over here who's inseam is larger than his waistline, and who does know where Europe is and could name the countries I couldn't stop laughing at the ingenious combination of humor and information. I am slowly collecting the Clarkson DVDs from the UK and am jealous of you folks for the fact that you get to enjoy this type of program on a regular basis.
Highly recommended...

A disappointing entry on Clarkson's CV.
I really do wonder what exactly America has done to Mr Clarkson to make him hate it so much. Not just the cars though, there appears to be a real hatred for the people there as well.

I have all the DVDs Clarkson has released, and each and every one previous to this has been brilliant. This new one is just a long (at times bordering on racist) attack on America. The challenges are ridiculously stacked in favour of a European victory (Mustang vs. Lotus and 300C vs. M5 for example) which makes any comparison totally pointless. I was really looking forward to this DVD but towards the end it became extremely tiresome.

I hope this is a blip on an otherwise excellent series of DVDs and this years release gets back to more evenly matched challenges and fun, exciting stunts.

Entertaining
Clarkson does not pull punches. Nor is he objective. He hates most things foreign (especially American) unless it is a good car. I first saw this on boxing day and thought it was great fun.
I thoroughy enjoyed this DVD and if you don't want to take Clarkson too seriously it is a good buy. But he does make you stop and think.

Jezza, what a legend!
Got his DVD for Xmas 2006, stuck it in the DVD player straight away and I was blown away! Anybody who is a fan of the car reviews on Top Gear - the camera work, the music, the sound effects, the editing, the way the dialogue is constructed - will LOVE this DVD! Features some awesome cars, incredibly witty comments by Jeremy, an interesting experiment with a Lincoln and a Jag to see which one would make the best swimming pool... or reservoir!... and to finish it all off Jeremy takes the GT40 for a spin, literally! The camera work & editing in this DVD is top notch, as a media student I look at this stuff for inspiration every day! In sum - *must have* viewing for any car fanatic!

Most Biased Thing I've Ever Seen
Ok, I'm a huge fan of Top Gear and I enjoy most things Jeremy Clarkson does, even if his way-over-the-top ham handed writing gets annoying after a while. Still, some of these "races" are ridiculous. For example:

- A Ford Mustang against a Lotus Exige. Are you kidding me? The Lotus Exige is probably the best handling car in existance, but that's because it's the size of a go-cart, and has nary a luxury in it. And for that you pay $76,500. Of course it's going to fair better on that winding track against a fully loaded Ford Mustang, with tons of modifications including a body kit. The size and weight difference alone makes it obvious which would win, if the fact that the Mustang, even with the Roush upgrades is still $20,000 cheaper.

- A Chrysler C300 versus a BMW M5? Seriously? The Chrysler C300 SRT8 is a $40,000 car. The BMW M5 is an $82,000 car. You could buy two of the former for the price of the latter. How in the hell are you even going to compare the two with a straight face? That's ludicrous!

I could go on, but I think these examples are enough. I know he's pitching this to the UK crowd, and they'll just eat it up, and yes European cars are genuinely better driving machines than American cars, which is why I felt that these ridiculous staged races were unnecessary. It's like laughing at a disabled person, but then again Clarkson was never much for tact.
