Product DescriptionNow you can have the protection of a dog without the maintenance! These units will bark at your command to deter would be intruders.
Included with the unit is the DM10 External X10 RF Motion Detector. Install this outside your house, and when the unit sees motion it will send an X10 RF transmission to the DK10 and the DK10 will start barking.
Alternatively you can purchase a KR22E key chain remote control. Simply press a button on the KR22 and the DK10 will start barking. The random barking sounds amazingly realistic, especially when heard through a door.
Since the DK10 is both wireless RF as well as mains X10 you can use any X10 transmitter to make the DK10 start barking.
Volume is adjustable. The unit can also be run wireless without X10 mains transmission. To do this you will need 9 'C' type batteries to power the main DK10 unit itself, and you need to additionally purchase a KR19. These batteries are not needed if you are going to use the AC adaptor to power the DK10.
The DM10 Motion Sensor requires 4 x AA Batteries (not included)

Barking Dog AlarmExcellent sound of a very large dog, particulalry good when triggered by the hand held controller. We find the sensor overly sensitive so much so that we cannot stop the dog from barking at absolutely everything. We use it most when on our own at home so are finding it useful from that point of view. You can even give him a name and tell it to get back in his basket!!!!!!

Great alarmGreat alarm and sound effects but it will not work with a timer as the previous review suggests. You have to press a button to activate if power is turned off. This is a pity since it would be a perfect alarm with a timer control.

Barking MadIf you work away a lot or just during the day then this surely has to be the gadget for you. Nothing will deter a burglar more than the sound of a barking dog.

br /I place mine close the window of the back room, where a likely dog would be. Then the sensor is placed anywhere at the back facing the garden. There's nothing to stop you putting yours at the front of your house. Burglars often knock on doors to see if there's anyone at home and the sound of a barking dog will send them off to try someone else's house. It's easy to set up and the instructions are clear.

br /Go one better and buy yourself a cheap mains timer, set it to power this when you are out and asleep and you won't have to put up with a dog barking when you are sitting out in the garden during the summer.

br /Just one word of warning, expect a visit from the RSPCA when a concerned neighbour tells them you have a dog that you never walk or allow outside.
