The only choice for the top of your stairs!
Having seen the poor review for this gate, i was spurred into action.
I bought 2 Lindam gates, an easy fit plus and an extending metal. My friends advised me never to put a pressure gate at the top of the stairs. So i got an extening one. It was well packaged and simple to fit. It required a few screws to fit but the job was pretty simple.
The main deciding factor was that the nursery my daughter goes to uses these gates through the whole building, and have never had any issues. I should imagine this would be the harshest environment for any gate.

Easy to fit, did a great job
I bought two of these - one for the top and one for the bottom of the stairs. I hate DIY and I was kind of dreading fixing it - I'd have preferred a pressure-fit gate, but the way my stairs are, there was nowhere to fix one.
The instructions were really simple to follow, and in a matter of minutes I'd had each gate hanging. They are both secure for toddlers and easy for adults to open and close.
In short, it's the simplest gate out there, and does the job perfectly - highly recommended.

useless gate
Our toddler opened this in 30 seconds, it was useless. It also came in dirty packaging and looked used.
