Volume Ten
The tenth volume of the brilliant Fullmetal Alchemist kicks of with something of a comic relief episode. In episode thirty seven we spend the day with Mustang and his gang while they try to get a date for Havoc and investigate the ghostly Warehouse 13. Episode thirty eight returns to following the Elric brothers as they attempt to get to the ruins of Ishbal but after a fight the two split up before finding a new guide who will lead them onwards. In episode thirty nine, having found the devastation of Ishbal the brothers are told the true story of what happened there before the story comes full circle as they rejoin the military as they prepare to attack the town of Liore where the brothers exposed a false priest in the first episode. In episode forty we finally get to see the background of Scar and confirm suspicions about his connection to the Homunculus Lust. The episode also revels the secret of the Führer.

Another Great Full Metal Alchemist volume
This volume of the Full Metal Alchemist TV show is the tenth out of thirteen and contains episodes 37 to 40. The main theme for this volume is the corruption of the state and state alchemists (that is why lieutenant Hawkeye is on the cover of this DVD), so you will be seeing a lot of Roy Mustang and that crew this time round.
Once again the English and Japanese voice acting are both spot on and the sound track is as beautiful as ever.
This DVD kicks off with episode 37 - The Flame Alchemist, The Bachelor Lieutenant & The Mystery of Warehouse 13, which is a comedy, and for once Edward and Alphonse Elric are not in the spotlight. This episode revolves around the state alchemists like Mustang, Havoc, Hawkeye, Armstrong, etc. The style and humour of this episode reminds me of a police academy movie or something. This episode is quite obviously a filler but I feel it is necessary to watch some fun episodes from time to time. Some of the comedy found in this episode is with Havok meeting Armstrong's sister because he's desperate for a date, and the state alchemists being ordered to make notes on Mustangs behaviour, which leads to hilarious results. Light hearted stuff, and is great to watch.
Episode 38 - With The River's Flow, shows Ed and Al falling out due to the stresses of their journey, this episode is quite thought provoking and it also has some quirky humour. Winry also makes a shocking discovery in the episode. A standout moment is when the brother's vehicle blows up and Ed receives a new afro like haircut. Funny stuff.
Episode 39 - Secret of Ishbal sticks closely to the main storyline of Full Metal Alchemist. After the previous two episodes on this disc, this is more action packed and intense. Some characters from earlier on in the series also make an appearance, including, Rose from the very first episode.
The last episode on this disc, 40 - The Scar, is fast paced and action packed, this episode reveals more about the Ishbalan war and the character `scar'. It shows his connection to the homunculus called `lust' and how he actually got scarred and received his brothers arm. Also, the ending of this volume is very dramatic to say the least.
Full Metal Alchemist never fails to impress, the story is still going strong at episode 40. For anyone who is collecting the FMA set, get this, it is just as good as the other 9 volumes. Anime fans who are looking for something new to watch, get the first volume because you wont know what is going on if you watch this one straight away.
A must buy for any FMA fan!
