Sweet Dreams Do Come True
This DVD holds performances on TV by Patsy Cline between 1955 and 1962.
These incredible images are richly commented by Robert K. Oermann who
is a country biographer who has written some 7 books so far. Before
each performance that you are going to see he explains the whereabouts
of each song profoundly. The fantastic thing about this DVD is that
all the songs are complete interpretations with no time limits,
no talking nor other interferences. Patsy is introduced by famous C&W
singers from the 50's & 60's like Ernest Tubb, Carl Smith, Eddie Arnold,
Ferlin Husky, a very young Johnny Cash etc. There are 10 complete acts +
the song Sweet Dreams in the beginning and at the end where she's not
seen. She died in a plane crash, at only 30 years, before that song became famous.
Since the songs are not announced on the cover nor inside, here are
the 10 remaining ones:
A Church, A Courtroom & Then Goodbye; Come On In; I've Loved And Lost
Again; Walkin' after Midnight; How Can I Face Tomorrow;I Fall To Pieces,
Love Sick Blues; Crazy; She's Got You and So Wrong.
Watching these incredible country gatherings on T.V. where Patsy sings them
with all her heart really make sweet dreams do come true.
