pop punk genius!
A fantastic album for all those emo/scene kids out there! The catchy melodies and well-written lyrics combine with thrash guitar and screeching teen American voices to create the perfect emotional album. My favourite tracks are Adalia and Pandora. Perfect for fans of 30STM, Paramore and The Used. Big thumbs up!

5 Stars???

Hm. I do think other reivewers here are vastly overrating these guys. Good band. Certainly a confident debut album -seem to have a bit more than alot of their emo/hardcore peers. But 'masterpiece'?? Not really.

Brilliance!
I bought this CD a few months ago, as I'd heard the brilliant One Last Kiss and was impressed by the catchy guitar riffs and the drummers technicality.

I never really listened to it and forget for a few months that I had it in my collection, so I got it out and listened to it, and it's absolutely spot on.

They have some amazing song ideas, some amazing lyrics, and the records production is spotless. I could honestly listen to this album on repeat for days.

Highlights for me are:
Here I Stand
The new version of One Last Kiss
Stars
House of Cards
and Adalia

Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Impressive new band!
When I first heard Madina Lake on Kerrang! with the demo song of "One Last Kiss", I thought it was going to be some busted sort of band. But then they released the singles "House of Cards" and "Here I Stand", then i saw they weren't some old popy band. After hearing these three songs i bought this album and I got blown away. Not only these three singles were good songs, but other songs like "In another Life", "Now Or Never", "Stars" and "Me vs The World" were as good as them. You can there is experimenting at these album, by the end of "Now Or Never", "Morning Sadness" and "True Love" there are some symphonic sound effects.
The only bad thing i could say about this album is at the middle of the album they slow down the pace of the album with 3 slow songs after each other.
I would idvice this album for fans of the new emo music. These people have talent and I'm looking forward to their next album!

From Them, Through Us, To You
I remember first hearing these guys. A friend of mine sent me the One last kiss demo and no one had ever heard of them! It's amazing the popularity these guys have gained in the past year with some awesome singles 'House of cards', 'Here i stand' and of course 'one last kiss' which is due to be released next month. This album is possibly my favorite with some of my favorite songs being 'Stars' and 'Pandora'. I respect the boys and how they give such thought to the UK. Their UK tour was amazing and i look forward to them returning for kerrang! tour 2008.
