(There are two films on this DVD) br /The first is WALKING IN THE CINQUE TERRE... Debra and David walk the spectacular coastal footpaths between five impossibly pretty villages, clinging precariously to the Ligurian coastline. Probably the most beautiful of the Italian coastal walks, although sometimes precarious, and there are always stunning panoramic views at every turn. The couple take you with them through the 'five lands', talking to local national park president Franco about the rich heritage; to Fulvia, a local travel expert; and sampling traditional food and wine with the Moggia family. br / br /The second film is DISCOVERING VENICE... The couple explore the streets and canals of the most photogenic city in the world, absorbing its unique culture and history. The colourful Rialto markets at dawn; an eventful Gondola ride - hosted by gondolier Lino; St. Mark's Square and it's entertaining history; a fascinating interview with a famous mask-maker; glass blowing at Murano and much more... make this visit to fabled city in the lagoon a memorable journey. br / br /Makes a great preview before you visit these Italian regions, or a wonderful souvenir after...
